教学过程
Step 1: Review 1. Talk about animals in danger. 2. Let the students find out what the conversation and the passage talks about pandas. Two aspects: situation and ways 3. Let the students find out some details about the situation of pandas and the ways people are doing to help them. 4. Think: Why are they doing so Step 2: Read and circle 1. Scientists are doing a lot of research to help pandas produce more babies and help baby pandas live. 2. In order to protect pandas in the wild, the government is setting up nature parks. 3. The WWF is working hard to save pandas. Let the students read the three sentences and circle the infinitive. Ask them when we can use “to do”. Step 3: Practise Complete Activity 1 and Activity on Page 46 in the textbook Step 4: Practise Talk about South China plete Activity 6 Ask the students if the passage has a clear structure. Let the students divide the passage into two parts and talk about what they are about. Step 5: Think What else can we do to help animals in danger We can visit museums to know some animals in danger. We can make speeches to call on others to help animals in danger. We can make posters. We should never buy products from animals in danger. Ask: Do you think the ways are helpful Step 6: Make a speech Let the students make a speech. They should choose one animal in danger, and tell the situation of it and offer some ways to help it.
