Evelyn Glennie is one of the most famous solo(独奏) drum players in the world. The surprising thing about Evelyn is that she is deaf. Let's listen to her talk about her story.
When I was about 12, I became interested in percussion instruments（打击乐器） and began to play them. At that time, I lost all of my hearing. When I was a teenager, I became interested in music. I can still remember sitting up in the big chair next to the piano and listening to my father play for hours. Besides, I used to give myself concerts in my bedroom.
