英语中,表示长、宽、高等时,主要有两种表达方式:
① 基数词+单位词十形容词(long, wide, high, deep等)
② 基数词十单位词+in+名词( length, width, height, depth, size等)
单位词有 meter, foot, kilogram等。
“这个箱子重10公斤”,可说:
The box is 10 kilograms 或The box is 10 kilos in weight,但习惯上不说 The box is 10 kilograms heavy。

(1)“one of the + 形容词最高级 +可数名词复数”意为 “最…的…之一”。此结构作主语时,谓语动词要用第三人称单数。
(2) that China is ...是know的宾语从句,尽管主句的时态是一般过去时,但由于宾语从句陈述的是客观事实,所以从句仍用一般现在时。
