教学对象分析
本校地处城乡结合部,属于厦门市的一所普通中学。学生普遍英语基础较弱,经过一个学期的磨合,教师已和学生达成良好默契,学习积极性及主动性得到有效提升,自主学习和合作学习能力也得到锻炼,课堂上能较好地完成教师布置的各种任务。本节课,我将影视教学法、任务型教学法相结合,强调锻炼学生的发散性思维、批判性思维、逻辑思维的能力,体现了学生主体性,突出课堂活动设计,在一种和谐的课堂氛围中实现自己的教学目标。
教学内容分析
该课是人教版必修3第一单元的第一课时,是一篇阅读课。文章介绍了古今中外节日的种类、由来、意义以及人们的活动和习俗,旨在通过本单元的学习使学生不但了解我国的节日,而且对外国的节日也有所了解,进而拓展社会文化背景、增加跨国文化知识。
教学目标
通过本课学习,学生根据文章的分类,对古今中外的节日有所了解。
通过本课学习,学生能运用相关语言知识描述和介绍自己喜欢的节日。
通过本课学习,学生能根据教师的调查结果,对外国节日文化对中国传统文化的冲击表达自己的见解。
四、教学过程
Step One Lead-in(2 mins)
1. Enjoy a short part of the movie “The Polar Express” and the song “When Christmas comes”

This movie is about a very important festival in the western countries, what is it?
设计意图:
影视导入是笔者比较擅长的教学方法,直观的视觉刺激,优美动听的旋律,能让学生在最短时间内被课堂吸引,关注本单元的核心话题,并引起思考。
Step Two Brainstorming( 3 mins)
When we talk about Christmas, what words come to your mind first?
设计意图:
紧扣电影内容,在此处的运用“头脑风暴”,能为接下来阅读部分的顺利开展做好铺垫。学生通过开口表达,启动思维,适用于热身及导入环节。
Step Three Fast Reading
Skim the first paragraph and the subtitles of the other paragraphs, answer the following questions(思维导图)
设计意图:
思维导图在此处的运用,能帮助学生对文章的结构有更加清晰的认识和理解。同时有针对性地指导学生通过大标题与副标题的阅读,掌握阅读技巧,理清文章脉络。

设计意图:
针对四个段落,设计四个完全不同的活动,避免了阅读环节的枯燥和一成不变。活动设计的层次性也是笔者考虑的重点,由浅入深,循序渐进,由照顾大部分同学到稳步提升活动难度,注重学生逻辑思维和批判性思维能力的培养。小作文写作也为下一个环节的开展做好了铺垫。

设计意图:
课前问卷调查的设计是本堂课设计的一个亮点,通过问卷调查的结果,引发学生对于中外节日文化彼此碰撞、相互冲击的思考。国外文化对于中国传统文化的影响已是不争的事实,作为当代中学生,他们究竟应该以一种什么样的态度对待这种现象?通过引发讨论,锻炼学生批判性思维及思辨能力,同时培养了学生写作能力。

设计意图:
开放式文章写作的关键在于交流思想,引发思考甚至思辨。因此,这样的作文教师大可不必让学生上交。学生本身就是最好的老师,互批互改,互相讨论,并在小组内挑选一篇最优秀,最有代表性的文章张贴于班级,供大家欣赏不失为一种教师减负,学生得益的方法。
