Period 5: Integrated skills & Study skills
教学内容
Integrated skills &Study skills(教材第15~17页),谈论旅游指南及对亚洲国家的了解。
教材分析
“Integrated skills”部分重点训练学生的听力。只有当学生能够读准单词,流利地朗读和说出 句子,并形成一定的抓读信息的能力才算真正的完成。Part A旨在训练学生从已知的材料和听力材料中获取信息,并能用所获取的信息解决实际问题的能力。Part B是对单元对话话题的精缩升华,要求学生不但能够熟练地朗读与理解对话,还要学会进行适当的迁移,提升其综合语言运用能力。
核心素养
在Integrated skills中,学生将跟着留学生们的脚步,离开上海,前往下一个亚洲国家——日本。通过学习旅游语篇.学生能了解日本的两座城市,感受东京和京都文化和名胜古迹,随后在Speak up部分,结束了日本之行后,前往下一个亚洲国家——新加坡,通过阅读对话,了解新加坡的地理位置、人口以及语言一系列的学习能够帮助学生了解亚洲文化的多样性和差异性。
教学目标
语言能力
(1)掌握单词:Japanese, state。
(2)掌握短语:leave for, an ancient city of culture, take a tour of Tokyo, arrive in, try all kinds of Japanese food, during our stay in Japan, both…and…
(3)掌握句型:We are leaving for Japan soon.
Japan is the second country we are going to visit in Asia. Most people can speak both English and Japanese
(4)熟练运用所学词汇描述两个国家的名胜古迹和风土人情。
文化意识
(1)从跨文化视角感受和观察两个国家文化的差异,体会异国文明。
(2)选择自己最喜的亚洲家,传播优秀的东方文化,增强区域自豪感。

(1)注意和观察日本与新加坡文化的种现象,识别各种信息的差异性,并形成自己的观点,突

教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in(导入部分)
(1) Use pictures to present the new words
Tokyo, the capital of Japan, Disneyland, National Museum, Japanese art, Mount Fuji, Japan's highest mountain, the Imperial Palace, learn about Japanese culture
(2) Explain the context of Part Al. Ask students to fill in as many blanks in Millie's notes as they could using information from the schedule
Step 2 Presentation(新课呈现)
(1) Play the recording through once without stopping. Ask students not to write anything, just to listen the first time round
(2) Play the recording again. Stop every now and then to give students time to write if necessary
(3) Play the recording again all the way through without stopping for students to cheek their answers.
(4) Ask students to volunteer their answers. Listen for mistakes and mispronunciation.
(5) Miss Thomposn is telling the exchange students about their trip to Japan. listen carefully and complete the following of Part 2。
(6) Explain to students that they can use notes from Page 15 to help them complete Part A3. All the information they need to complete Millie's article can be found in Part Al and A2
(7) Divide the class into pairs. Each pair must work together to come up with the correct answers for Part A3. Each pair swaps their answer sheets with another pair once they have finished. Each pair marks another pair's answers
(8) Ask for volunteers to read out their answers. The whole class listen for mistakes and raise their hands when they have a question
Step 3 Present“Speak up”(新授Speak up)
(1) Present the following questions for the students to scan the conversation in Part B
①Where is Singapore " It is in South East Asia.
②It's very big, isn't it No, it isn't.
③How many people are there in Singapore There are about five million people there
④What language do they speak Mainly English and Chinese
(2) Practise reading the conversation and act it out in pairs
(3) Make up new conversations about where to visit. Then ask some pairs lo act out their conversations
Step 4 Learn“Study skills”(学习Study skills)
(1) Show the students some simple body languages and ask them what is the meaning
(2) Remind the students that body language, as a form of communication, is different from culture to culture
(3) Present some common kinds of body language in the West in our books

教学探讨与反思
在本课时的学习中,老师将主动权交给了学生,联系生活,让学生在围绕一个话题的基础上,参与课堂活动的实践中练习口语、听力、写作与阅读等方面的能力,使学生在学习和训练的过程中也享受到了英语的魅力。最初的环节采用提供场景让学生表演的方式,是为了锻炼学生的口头表达能力与语言综合利用能力,同时也很好地将学生引入新课时的学习。通过让学生以表演对话的方式来总结本节课的内容,既锻炼了学生的口语能力,也锻炼了学生的合作与交流能力。老师充分做到了在听、说,读、写几方面来训练学生的英语基本技能。同时几个方面的训练都是在一个相同的话题下进行的,衔接自然,在学生提高兴趣的同时也达到了训练的效果。
