Step3 Careful reading
Read the first paragraph carefully and pay more attention to the attributive clauses and correct the mistakes in the rewritten passage.(With the help of Hiteboard Pro)

After the students finish filling the blanks, they will be asked to tell Mencius’s whole life.
Purpose: practice the students’ ability to find information in the passage and the ability to retell passages.
3.Now listen carefully to complete the passage about Mozi. You’ll have two minutes to look it through quickly.

Purpose: to prepare the students for the content of a passage of an introduction to a famous person.
Step5 A rewritten introduction to Confucius from the teacher
Confucius
Confucius(551BC-479BC) was a great thinker and philosopher in ancient China,
which was a place where states were often at war with each other.
Confucius spent many years in traveling from state to state, teaching his principles
with a great many his followers(门徒).
He stressed the importance of kindness, duty and order in society. Chinese society
was influenced by these ideas for more than 2,000 years.
Purpose: to give the students a model to follow according to the order we have made above.
Step 6 Writing and Show Time
Now it’s the students’ turn to rewrite the introduction to Mencius or Mozi
within 70 words.

Purpose: to consolidate what we have learnt this class!
