一、指导思想
高中英语课程标准(实验)》明确指出阅读教学的目的是:培养阅读策略;培养语感;特别强调培养学生在阅读过程中获取信息和处理信息的能力。在教学过程中,教师要注意逐步培养学生的各项阅读微技能;如:略读(skimming);找读(scanning);预测下文;理解大意;分清文章中的事实和观点;猜测词义;推理判断;了解重点细节;理解文章结构、指代关系和作者意图;评价阅读内容。
学生的阅读能力是在阅读的实践和体验中获得的,课堂教学的任务是通过阅读材料的选择和提供,教学环节的安排,有目的、有步骤地帮助学生在阅读过程中进行有效的体验和语言输入,促进学生阅读能力的获得与形成。在本课的设计中,图片导入使学生形成对嘉年华庆祝活动的初步印象,形象直观地激发学生兴趣;在课堂中让学生完成根据阅读材料所设置的任务,体现任务型教学的理念,从中学习语言知识以提高语言应用能力。以小组讨论的形式让所有学生都参与到任务活动中来;让学生在实践中掌握阅读技巧和方法,提高阅读能力。教学中以学生体验为主,在语境中体会词义,培养学生爱思考的好习惯;英语学习不仅是对语言的学习,更是对文化的学习。在英语教学中,增强学生的跨文化交际意识。
二、教材分析
本节为阅读课,是本模块的第一课时。介绍了有关狂欢节的情况,围绕课文设计了与课文内容和词汇有关的练习,通过这些练习,学生可以熟悉课文内容,学会与课文内容有关的词汇。通过本文的学习理解狂欢节的描述、起源和发展,能读懂同等难度的有关节日的文章。在活动中,发展学生的语言能力并增强文化意识。在教学设计中,注重了对对教材内容的适当整合。
三、学情分析
根据授课班级学生的实际情况,在阅读的处理中,遵循了由浅入深、循序渐进的原则,要求学生通过略读、查读等方式完成不同的阅读任务。包括概括段落大意、细节理解、猜测单词等练习。提高学生阅读能力和对语言的领悟能力。
四、教学目标及重、难点
教学目标
1. 知识与能力:让学生通过阅读文章去了解狂欢节的起源和历史沿革。同时,在阅读训练中渗透略读、查读等阅读技巧来培养学生概括大意、查找特定信息、以及推理的能力。
2. 过程与方法:运用任务型教学法,提高学生阅读能力;让学生在实践中掌握阅读技巧和方法,提高阅读能力。教学中以学生体验为主,在语境中体会词义,培养学生爱思考的好习惯。
3. 情感态度与价值观:作为文化的重要组成部分,节日是学生了解西方文化的窗口。通过本次学习,学生可以加深对西方文化的了解,增强文化意识。
教学重点和难点
1. 教学重点:了解狂欢节的起源和历史沿革;掌握略读、查读、猜生词及推理判断等阅读方法和技巧。
2. 教学难点:提高学生对文章内容进行推理判断的能力及在实践中运用阅读技巧的能力。
五、教学步骤
Step 1: Lead-in
(这一环节我首先让学生展示了一些庆祝中西方节日的图片,要求学生说出节日名称。最后出示了狂欢节庆祝图片和狂欢节面具。旨在给学生直观的感受,激发学生的学习兴趣。)
