Let’s know something about culture.
Surprise party是西方国家常见的一种聚会形式,是一种旨在给人带来惊喜的聚会,聚会往往围绕一个或若干主题人物而举办,聚会的举办者事先会对主题人物保密,待其来到聚会现场之后才意外发现大家在为自己举行聚会,因而会十分惊讶和感激。
还有一种surprise party并没有所谓的主题人物,而是旨在娱乐,参与者在聚会当中不断遭遇各种意惊喜,欢乐不止。因此, surprise party可译作“惊喜聚会”。
