Mrs. Hill I was doing the dishes. I quickly stopped and ran to close all the windows. I was looking around when I heard my son crying. So I rushed to help him.
Rosa I was washing my hair while the rain was beating against the windows. Suddenly, it got dark. I was afraid and didn’t know what to do. Luckily, my dad came and asked me to get back to my bedroom. Then he went out of the house to see what was happening.
Mr. Hill I was writing a report on the computer. Two days ago, I listened to the weather report. But I didn’t think it would come so suddenly. I quickly stood up and walked around to see if everything was OK. Other families might be in trouble. So I went to help them.

It was a cold winter day. An old man sat on a frozen lake, cutting a hole in the ice, dropping his fishing line into water. He was there for almost an hour, without even a fish.

More kids in the United States are learning about computers today. They are learning the language that makes computers work. The language is called code.
People in business want more young people to learn about computers. Other groups do, too. They are helping some schools to start computer classes. Students in the classes learn how computers work.
One of the groups that help kids to learn computer science is Code. org. The group wants more students to try computer science. The group holds an event called "Hour of Code". The event lasts an hour every time. The idea is to teach students to learn code.
Some experts say computer science teaches kids to think clearly. It also helps them be more puters will be an important part of the students’ lives in the future, so the classes should teach them computer science when they are young.
Not everybody agrees to teach young people computer science. "Kids do not need to learn about computers so soon," someone said. Most high schools in the US do not have computer science. Only one in four does. It is hard to find computer teachers.
