延续性动词与非延续性动词

延续性动词: 能够延续的动作，可以长时间的延续下去或产生持久的影响。
短暂性动词:不能够延续的动作，动作发生后立即结束。
arrive meet begin close buy die come fail find finish go join kill lend lose sell start stop borrow…..
when的用法
when引导的时间状语从句表示短时间的动作，主句常用进行时态或完成时态。
When I came in, he was reading the newspaper.
When引导的从句谓语动词可以是延续性动词，也可以是短暂性动词
While引导的从句谓语动词必须是延续性动词
while引导的时间状语从句
1. 主和从都用一般过去时。
She listened carefully while he read.
2. 从句用过去进行时，主句用一般过去时。
While I was watching TV, Tom came in.
3. 主句和从句都用过去进行时。
While I was watching TV, she was doing some cleaning.
