范文:
Hi, everyone! I am happy here to share our experience in making a video of Sharing Chinese Traditional Festivals and introduce something about the Lantern Festival to you.
First, let me tell you about our process. We started by making a detailed plan and dividing the work among our group members. Each of us was responsible for collecting information on different aspects of the Lantern Festival. Then, we put all the information together and started creating our video.
The Lantern Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month. During this festival, people light and release lanterns into the sky, watch dragon and lion dances, and enjoy eating tangyuan, a kind of sweet glutinous rice ball. One of the most exciting activities is guessing lantern riddles. It's not only fun but also a great way to test our wisdom.
This festival holds great meaning for Chinese people. It marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations and symbolizes family unity, love, and hope for a bright future. Through our video, we wanted to show how this festival brings people together and creates a sense of happiness and warmth.
That’s all. Thanks for your listening.

As a photographer, I have to face the wind and the rain bravely, but I still enjoy working outside in the wild. One of the best things about this job is that you can watch animals in their living environment.
My favourite place to take photos is Yellowstone National Park. As the world’s first national park, Yellowstone is famous for its different kinds of wildlife, but it is probably best known for its bears. This huge, strong animal can live for 30 years. Even though it weighs up to 300 kilograms, it can run at a speed of around 64 kilometres per hour and are also excellent swimmers.
Last spring in Yellowstone, I followed a path that took me through a dark forest. When I finally stepped out of the trees, the view was astonishing. An eagle flew over the snowcapped mountains, which were shown in the still lake below. While I was photographing this amazing scene, I suddenly had a feeling that I was being watched. Slowly, I turned... and froze. Only meters away from me was a bear. With water falling off its thick, brown hair, the bear looked back at me. Time stood still as the bear and I both waited to see who would move first. My legs started shaking. Anyway, I got my finger to keep the moment. A second later, the bear turned and ran back into the forest.
After that, I looked at my camera. This scary but magical experience was now kept forever in this photo. It is valuable for me because it reminds me of the relationship between humans and wildlife. After all, we are just the visitors to their world.

A. The wildlife. B. The park. C. The world. D. The photo.

36. The underlined word “astonishing” in Paragraph 3 is close in meaning to ________.
A. excellent B. relaxing C. interesting D. amazing
37. Put the writer’s experiences in the right order.
a. I felt I was being watched. b. I enjoyed the view. c. I took a photo of the bear.
d. The bear ran away. e. I walked through a forest. f. I saw a bear.

Many cultures have stories of talking trees that give advice as well as warnings to people. Alexander the Great and Marco Polo were said to have visited such a tree in India. New research has found something amazing: it seems that plants can communicate.
It has been known for some time that plants use chemicals (化学物质) to communicate with each other. This happens when a plant gets attacked (攻击) by insects. The plant gives out chemicals from the leaves that are being eaten. This is like a warning, or a call for help. When another plant gets the chemicals, it starts to give out its own, different chemicals. Scientists hope to learn more about this plant warning system, so that we can use it to grow more crops.
More surprisingly, plants also use sound to communicate. People can’t hear these sounds, but plants are making them. Some plants make noises with their roots. Some trees make clicking noises when there is not enough water.
Most surprisingly of all, plants have an amazing system of communication that can link almost every plant in a forest. Scientists call this system the “wood wide web”, which is linked underground by fungi (菌类). It links the roots of different plants to each other. It is in some ways similar to the Internet we use. Using the wood wide web, ▲ . However, it may lead to bad results. Plants may use it to steal food from each other, or spread chemicals to attack other plants.
Scientists are learning more every day about the secret ways in which plants talk to each other. Who knows Maybe one day we will know enough about plant communication to be able to talk with them.

Has a person ever held a door open for you and smiled How do you feel after playing with friends And what would you say is your favourite family memory These questions are all about being close to others. “Let’s Connect” is the theme (主题) for this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week.
46
People are social and like to be with others. We connect with family, friends, and people in our neighborhood. Good connections make us feel good and help us when we need it. They are also good for our body health and can help us live longer. 47 Loneliness may raise the risk of heart disease and other health problems. So everyone needs different amounts of connections, but what is important is how strong your relationships are, not how many friends you have.
How can I connect with others
48 You can meet them in person or online, with friends, family, neighbors, or teammates. It’s not just people; some people feel connected to their pets or nature. Being nice, listening to others, and trying new things can help you connect.
What should I do when I feel lonely
Everyone feels lonely sometimes. Remember connections change—some get better, others disappear slowly. You should also remember that there are people who care about you. It’s important to tell someone you trust how you feel, or reach out to safe places like Childline or Shout. 49
Take part in Children’s Mental Health Week, let’s plan a party! Find out more at childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/party.
