In the United States, people like to say “Thank you” when others help them or say something kind to them. People of many other countries do so, too. It is a very good habit.
You should say “Thank you” when someone passes you something on the table, when someone opens the door for you, when someone says you have done your work well, or you have bought a nice thing, or your city is very beautiful. “Thank you” is used not only between friends, but also between parents and children, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives.
“Excuse me” is another short sentence they use. When you hear someone say so behind you, you know that somebody wants to walk past you without touching you. It’s not polite to interrupt(打断)others when they are talking. If you want to speak to one of them, say “Excuse me” first, and then begin talking. You should also do so when you want to cough or make any unpleasant noise before others.

Do you like to tell stories Do you like to write Sometimes those questions have two different answers. Many children love to tell stories out loud. But when they have to write them down, they find it difficult.
Writing is one of those skills that takes practice. The same is true for storytelling. You can make up the best story in your head, but getting it down on paper is a different thing.
Here are some tips to help you write a story. First, think about the characters in your story. Who are they What do they look like What are their personalities Second, think about the setting. Where does the story take place Is it a forest, a city, or a small town Third, think about the plot. What happens in the story Is there a problem How is it solved
Once you have these elements in place, you can start writing. Write in simple sentences at first. Don’t worry about making mistakes. Just get your ideas down on paper. Then you can go back and read what you’ve written. You can add more details, correct mistakes, and make your story better.
Remember, writing is a process. It takes time and practice. But with a little effort, you can become a great storyteller on paper.
