It's not easy to find a job. Many jobs have age or experience requirements that you might not meet. On top of that, you need to juggle(尽力同时应付) schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and your social life. Fortunately, there are still some good jobs for you to start gaining work experience.
Tutor
A straight-A student Then a job as a tutor might be the best option for you. Helping younger students with their homework is a great way to put what you've studied to good use and make some extra money. One of the easiest ways to show that you're qualified to teach other students is by showing your GPA(grade point average) on your tutor résumé.
Dog Walker
Love dogs Then a position as a dog walker is perfectly fit for you. Dog walking requires no work experience and has flexible hours. However, you may need to do some shadowing or attend an interview before people trust you with their pets.
Delivery Driver
If you're 16+ years old and have a driver's license, you could try working as a delivery driver. Driving is a great way to gain relevant experience and show future employers that you're responsible and work well under pressure.
Call Center Representative
If you don't mind talking on the phone, then a job as a call center worker is a good choice for you. Working as a call center representative can even teach you some useful customer service skills that will help your career later on. To land a job at a call center, highlight your customer service and interpersonal skills on your profile.
21.Who is the passage intended for

Do you love fossils and dinosaurs I'm lucky enough to be a fossil preparator(化石制备师), which means I work with fossils, like removing rocks from fossils and gluing fossils together to make sure they're not broken. Sometimes, we have dinosaur bones that need to be arranged and put back into position.
I like the job from the bottom of my heart. When we make “jackets”—these are things that store the fossils—we have to accurately and scientifically figure out how to make them for specific bones or fossils, which can be in different shapes and need different artistic expression forms.
Since I was a kid, it's been my dream to be a paleontologist(古生物学者). When I was 12, I went to this kind of event at the Houston Museum of Natural Science called Dinosaur Day. I got a chance to meet paleontologists. At the end, I asked, “Hey, can I volunteer ” And somehow, they let me, as long as a parent came with me. At 12 years old, I got to go to a fossil excavation(挖掘地), and I got to work with dinosaur bones and fossils in the lab for the first time.
Fossils are very old. We don't always get all the pieces. We're working with something that's incomplete, sometimes. We do our best to fit the pieces we know back together. And as for the pieces we don't know, we don't try to make anything up. But sometimes, we have a gap in a specimen(标本) and it needs support. We'll put some material that's clearly not the fossil in the gap, so when people go to study it, they know not to study that part.
People would wonder how I found other kids, especially girls, who shared my interest when I was growing up. As a matter of fact, in my friend group, I was the only dinosaur girl. My friends were interested in other things, but they were all super supportive of my love for fossils.
24.Why does the author like her job
A.It is not a demanding job.
B.It combines both art and science.
C.It is more artistic than scientific.
D.It is about collecting dinosaur bones.
25.Why does the author mention her visit to the museum
A.To show her path to following her dream.
B.To prove her parents' support for her job.
C.To present the barrier to achieving her dream.
D.To tell her easy access to achieving her dream.
26.How does the author deal with the incomplete fossils
A.By burying them back in the ground.
B.By breaking and reconstructing them.
C.By fixing them up with similar material.
D.By filling their gaps with distinct material.
27.What kind of girl was the author when she was growing up
A.Cautious. B.Understanding.
C.Independent. D.Entertaining.
C
Most people have probably run into this problem. When you're traveling, you want to take a photo to capture a moment, but you're alone or your friend is a poor photographer. Now with the help of social media platforms, a “travel-along photographer” can take this worry off your list.
A travel-along photographer is like a travel companion who takes photos for you for an hour or two while accompanying you to the destination of your choice. Due to this year's travel boom and social media, such photographers have grown in popularity.
“With social media platforms, every photographer can advertise themselves and be seen,” said Shi Xinqi, a 22-year-old part-time photographer from Xiamen, Fujian province. In the past month, Shi has photographed over 30 clients. Rui Changchang, 27, agrees. Social media platforms help him be seen and find what he has been looking for over the years.
Rui used to be a fashion photographer for celebrities, but he didn't feel the fundamental joy that he thought photography should create. From the lighting and clothing to the professional models, everything was from the assembly line. Now, he's a full-time photographer who spends most of his time at Universal Studios in Beijing. “It's very fascinating to help complete strangers become comfortable in front of the camera and capture a joyful moment for them.” Rui believes that capturing connections between people is what makes photos so touching.
But this is not a one-way service. When photographers capture these moments for their customers, they also learn something about themselves. “Most of my customers are women. I often describe them as the ‘beauty and power of women’,” said Shi, relating one experience with a customer in her 30s. Shi asked her if she had any regrets in her life—to which she replied that she had none. “That woman was so confident and determined. She helped relieve my anxiety about aging,” said Shi.
However, this booming industry also has a dark side. For travel-along photographers, there are no industry standards or measures to ensure the rights of all parties. Even though the photographers are from the same city, their pricing is dramatically different.
28.What does a travel-along photographer mainly do
A.Run social media platforms.
B.Take worries off a traveler's list.
C.Take pictures for a traveler along the way.
D.Accompany a traveler to the destination.
29.How is paragraph 4 developed
A.By drawing conclusions.
B.By giving a definition.
C.By listing examples.
D.By making a contrast.
30.What does paragraph 5 intend to tell us
A.The services offered by the photographers.
B.The benefits enjoyed by the photographers.
C.The moments captured by cameras.
D.The communication promoted by customers.
31.What is the author's attitude towards the industry
A.Favorable. B.Objective.
C.Indifferent. D.Negative.
D
Hiring processes can be thought of as a battle between integrity and dishonesty. You might imagine that this is a simple fight between truth-seeking firms and self-promoting candidates, and to a certain extent it is. But companies themselves tend to bend the truth out of shape in ways that are self-defeating.
Start with the obvious wrongdoers: job applicants. When it comes to writing the résumé(简历), they tend to massage(美化)reality into the most appealing possible shape. Everyone beyond a certain level of experience is a transformational leader personally responsible for generating an income of millions of dollars; the world economy would be about 15 times bigger than it actually is if all such claims were true. The average British spends four and a half hours a day watching TV and online videos. But each average job candidate is an enthusiast for public welfare, using their spare time only for worthy purposes, like volunteering in soup kitchens.
But the tendency to stretch the truth affects companies as well as applicants. The typical firm will write a job description that invariably describes the work environment as fast-paced and innovative, and then lays out a set of improbable requirements for the “ideal candidate”, someone who almost by definition does not exist. Sometimes, the requirements include an ability to go back and change the course of history.
Too few firms offer an accurate account of what a position actually involves in their job previews, which are supposed to give prospective employees a genuine sense of the negatives and positives of the job, as well as a clear idea of the company's corporate culture. One effective strategy is to lay out in a text or video what a typical day of the role would look like.
Such honesty can be its own reward. Research has long suggested that realistic job previews lead to a lower turnover and higher employee satisfaction. A paper in 2011 by David Eamest of Towson University and his co-authors concluded that favourable perceptions of the organization's honesty are the best explanation for it. So a process designed to uncover the truth about job applicants would run a lot more smoothly if firms were also honest about themselves.
32.Why are a “leader” and an “enthusiast” mentioned in paragraph 2
A.To present a rule. B.To clarify a fact.
C.To make a comparison. D.To explain a phenomenon.
33.What does the underlined word “stretch” in paragraph 3 mean
A.Overstate. B.Overturn.
C.Overlook. D.Overestimate.
34.What are job previews expected to be like in paragraph 4
A.They show a position as it is.
B.They are made either in a text or in a video.
C.They are favourable for bigger firms.
D.They mainly contain negatives of a job.
35.What does the text mainly talk about
A.Pains and gains of employees and employers.
B.Getting the lying out of hiring.
C.Getting more appealing in hiring.
D.A wrestle between applicants and companies.

How to Choose Your Purpose-Filled Career
When you think about choosing a career, you often do it in the following two ways.
36 . If you like writing or making crafts, you might consider these things. This is not a bad way to go, of course, but you can't always make money doing things you like(like playing video games or drinking beer). And sometimes things you like are better as a hobby or a passion.
Think about a well-paid job that you can do and that doesn't sound so bad. Maybe a doctor, engineer or lawyer Or maybe that's out of your educational reach, so you choose the office or retail worker.
37 , but often they are not something you're really passionate about. It's kind of like just doing something because it's there—not very inspiring.
However, there's another way that is perhaps better: 38 . For example, taking care of children, because you really want to help children get a great start in life or blossom into who they want to be, or getting into the government or social work to improve the conditions of the community you live in, or becoming a scientist to help ease the environmental crisis or find a cure for a terrible disease. 39 , and if you choose one of them for that purpose, you will serve in that work feeling a sense of purpose each day.
There are endless ways to do that. The point isn't how you serve the world, but that just serving the world in some way will help you feel filled with purpose. 40 .
A.These are all great choices
B.Think about what you like to do
C.You can identify your purpose and work out how to get there
D.Each of these is just one of many possibilities filled with purpose
E.Try to do something to serve a community or make the world better
F.The sooner you complete the training requirements, the sooner you will make a living
G.If you choose a purposeful and enjoyable job, you're always further along than most people

Amy loved drawing, but her grandmother Bonnie was opposed to it, who thought those strange things Amy drew were not going to help her in the future. One day, when they were eating dinner at the table, the doorbell rang.
Amy answered the door to see a well-dressed man standing at the door. “Oh my God, I know you! Mr Henderson ” Amy said gladly. “You are my favorite cartoonist(漫画家)! Wow! Hello, sir!” Then she led Mr Henderson into her house.
Mr Henderson was a famous New York-based cartoonist. He worked for an art magazine.
“I received a letter with some samples of your artwork, Amy. And I must say I was so impressed by your talent. In fact, I wrote you letters, but I never got a reply,” Mr Henderson said to Amy. “If I didn't visit you today, you might miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
“You sent me letters ” Amy asked in wonder. Amy noticed Bonnie sat uneasily in her seat, and she realized why the letters had never reached her. Her grandmother kept them hidden from her. Mr Henderson continued, “We are accepting applications for our arts training program this summer. I will personally teach the students the art of cartoons and everything related. For that, you need to pass a drawing test. If everything goes well, you will be able to learn from me later and pursue your dream of art.”
Amy was excited about the news, but Bonnie refused and said angrily, “You are wasting our time, sir. Please leave.”
“But ma'am, this can really shape your granddaughter's career,” Mr Henderson said. “And if you're concerned about the money, please don't be. The committee will cover all the costs. Gifted Amy can greatly benefit from the program.” Then Mr Henderson pulled out a file from his document case and gave it to Amy. “It's a test assignment. I know your grandmother is against it and that things are tough, but I hope you'll be able to do it,” he added as he left the house.
Amy couldn't contain her excitement after Mr Henderson's visit.

A
根据第一段的“schoolwork, extracurricular activities”,第二段的“A straight-A student ”以及第四段的“If you're 16+years old”可推断,这篇文章针对的是学生。
第二段首句中的“like the job”与题干中的“like her job”为相同的内容,所以定位到第二段。
故选A。
根据最后一段第二句“As a matter of fact, in my friend group, I was the only dinosaur girl.”
根据第四段中的“Rui used to be a fashion photographer for celebrities...Now, he's a full-time photographer who spends most of his time...”
根据第五段中的“But this is not a one-way service.” “She helped relieve my anxiety about aging”等信息可推知,第五段作者想告诉人们摄影师享受的好处。
故选A。
根据第四段的“job previews, which are supposed to give prospective employees a genuine sense of the negatives and positives of the job”可知,公司应该如实告诉求职者工作的利弊。故选A。
故选A。

故填what。
故填are。
根据“you should consider all the activities”可知,此处指“你在规划你的职业生涯时”,省略了“you are”,所以应用现在分词planning。
63.of/about 考查介词。think of/about意为“考虑”,为固定搭配,所以此处应用介词of或about。
根据“than another”可知,此处应用well的比较级better。
One possible version:
Dear Peter,
I'm glad to hear from you. In your letter, you asked me about my career plan.
First of all, thank you for your concern. My dream career is to be a doctor. I have had this ambition since I was a child. And during the epidemic period, I saw those medical workers leave their families behind to go to the front line of rescuing the dying at the risk of sacrificing personal safety, which inspired my determination to become a doctor.
In order to realize this dream, I must study hard and be admitted to an ideal medical university with excellent grades.
Yours
Li Hua
第二节
One possible version:
Amy couldn't contain her excitement after Mr Henderson's visit. She carefully examined the test assignment he had given her. The challenge seemed difficult, but Amy was determined to prove herself. She spent hours each day practicing her drawing skills. As days turned into weeks, Amy's progress was remarkable. She submitted her completed work to Mr Henderson, who was genuinely impressed by her improvement. He believed that Amy had the ability to excel in the arts training program and even start a successful career in the field of art.
Amy's strong love for drawing deeply touched Bonnie. She began to notice the efforts and passion Amy put into her work. She realized that Amy had a talent for drawing, and that perhaps her art dream was worth pursuing. Over time, Bonnie started to support Amy. She understood that this opportunity could be life-changing for her granddaughter. With Bonnie's support, Amy devoted herself to the arts training program and learned a lot from Mr Henderson. Sometimes, dreams could become a reality with the right opportunity and strong support.
