When Ami Vitale first picked up a camera, something amazing happened. The once-shy young woman began to communicate with people, learn new things, and experience new cultures. Over the years, she has traveled to more than 100 countries to take pictures.
At first, Vitale photographed (拍摄) people in war-torn areas. In 2009, she heard the story of Sudan, the world’s last male northern white rhino (犀牛). In order to save the northern white rhinos from disappearing, Sudan was brought back to Africa from a European zoo. Sadly, that never happened. Vitale felt sorry and decided to do something. “I see lots of technically beautiful images (影像),” Vitale said. “But the best image needs to have the soul (灵魂). It needs to make me think and have meaning behind it.”

【参考范文】
Dear Freya,
I’m excited to receive the invitation to your afternoon tea party this Sunday. As it’s the first time that I’ve been invited to such an event, I would like to ask about the basic manners for an English tea party.
Firstly, could you please tell me what I should wear to the party Am I supposed to wear a shirt and a tie I think it may be impolite to show up in sportswear. Secondly, I’m wondering if I am expected to bring a gift to the party. I don’t want to be rude with empty hands. Last but not least, I’m curious about how I can behave properly at the table, including where to sit and when to start drinking.
I would be very thankful for your suggestions. And I can’t wait to enjoy the tea party with you!
Best wishes,
Li Hua
