一、教材分析
1. 单元及课文分析
本单元主要是围绕奥运会和世界纪录来展开话题,通过本单元的学习,使学生了解有关奥运会的发展历史和世界纪录的相关情况,乐于接触并了解异国文化。在学习过程中,应该让学生能够对自己感兴趣的人物或事件,勇敢地用英语表达自己的看法,感受奥运健儿和世界纪录的创造者那种努力拼搏、不断超越自己的精神。本课时是对本单元内容进行复习和检测。
2.教学目标
语言技能: 掌握与本单元话题相关的语言结构,并能够就本单元相关话题进行描述。
情感态度: 学习运动员努力拼搏、不断超越自己的精神,并培养竞争意识和合作精神。
3.教学重点: 熟练掌握与本单元话题相关的语言结构。
教学难点:能够就本单元相关话题用正确的语言进行描述。

三.教学步骤:
Step 1 Class Opening (About 3minutes)
Class work. A guessing game.
The students will see some pictures.Look at the pictures carefully and guess the words in this unit. See who can get the words and phrases correctly and fast.
【设计思路:利用图片引领学生回顾本单元的重点词汇,为接下来的习题做好铺垫。】
Step 2 Build Your Vocabulary (About 8minutes)
I. Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words. The first letter is given.
The students read the sentences and fill in the blanks independently. Then they may check their answers and read the sentences again in groups and /or as a class.

Split the class into two large teams. Ask one student from each team to stand at the blackboard and write his/ her team’s answers. Place a time limit on this exercise. The team that completes the passage faster wins.

Step 3 Grammar in Use (About 7minutes)
Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words.
1) Students read and complete the statements independently.
2) Once they have completed all the statements, they can check their answers with a partner 。
3)And let the students have a dialogue based on each sentence.
Example:
A: Brian jumps very far in the long jump.
B: Yes, but I think Tom jumps farther than Brian.
A: I agree with you. But Danny jumps farther than Tom.
B: So Danny jumps (the) farthest in our class.
【设计思路:用习题来检查上一课时Grammar的掌握情况,再用对话来检验运用所学知识的能力。根据语言知识设计适当的交际活动,让学生用英语理解、表达和交流,从而体现“用英语做事情”的原则。】
Step 4 Listening and Speaking
I. Listen to the dialogues and tick the correct answers.(About3 minutes)
1) Play the audiotape for this section of the Unit 6 Review twice and ask the students to tick the correct answers.
2) Check the answers as a class.

II. Make up a dialogue with your partner.( About 7minutes)
1) Ask the students to work in pairs to discuss the Task Tips and make a dialogue. Students may use the example as a guide. Give them more information if necessary.
【设计思路:让学生使用所学语言完成任务,同时允许学生用其他语句,可以为基础较好的学生提供发展空间。】
2) Divide the class into groups to have a group dialogue.
【设计思路:通过小组活动保证了教学的全体性,使所有学生都有机会深度参与学习活动。】
Step 5 Putting It All Together.(About 7minutes)
Read the passage and answer the questions.
1) Instruct the students to work in groups to read the passage and answer the questions.
2) Check the answers as a class.
【设计思路:根据问题在课文中找答案、捕捉信息,可以提升学生的阅读理解能力,对文章加深了解。】
Step 6 Self-Evaluation( About 7minutes)
Instruct the students to complete Parts I, II, and III of the Self-Evaluation by adding more examples to each section.(i.e. If they give four examples in Section I, they earn four stars for that section. If they give one example for Section II, they earn only one star for that section.) Check the answers.

一、教材分析
1. 单元及课文分析
本单元在谈论奥运会和世界纪录的同时渗透语法 :形容词和副词的比较等
级。其中形容词的比较等级在8上已经学过。而另一语法内容:宾语从句和上一单元的语法内容宾语从句合并在一起。所以在本单元我们着重处理副词的比较等级。
2.教学目标
语言技能:能够正确使用副词的比较等级来描述事情。
情感态度: 在各种实践活动中,培养学生的竞争意识和合作精神。
3.教学重点:熟练掌握副词比较等级的用法。
教学难点:熟练运用本单元语法内容完成各项实践活动。
4. 学习策略:鼓励学生通过观察、模仿、体验、探究、展示等方式学习与合作学习。

Step 1 Class opening ( About 1 minute)
Enjoy a song: Good Luck to You!
Play the song Good Luck to You! to the students.
【设计思路:本单元歌曲Good Luck to You!的歌词中含有比较等级的句子,在上课伊始,为学生播放,潜移默化地影响他们。】
Step 2 Think About It (About 2minutes)
Ask the students to think about the question:Danny stood on one foot because he wanted to set a new world record. Do you know if he made it Why or why not
Lead the students to come up with the answer: Because he thought the gathering is more important than a world record.
Let them pay attention to the underlined words: more important .

Step 3 Grammars in Use
I. Come back to the Students Book Page 89. Let’s Do It No. 2. ( About5 minutes)
1) Let the students underline the comparative and superlative adjectives and adverbs indepently.
2) Check the answers as a class.
3) Lead the students to sum up the rules of the grammar by asking: What do you know about the grammar
4) Write the main rules down on the board while the students giving a summary.
【设计思路:让学生在语境中体会并结合以前所学关于形容词比较等级的知识,自己总结出关于副词比较等级的用法,体现学生的主体作用。】

( About 8minutes)
1) Instruct the students to look at the table and make sentences.

Step 5 Exercise( About 8 minutes)
I. Let the students do some exercises to make sure they have learnt the grammar. Choose the best answers and check in groups. Help them if necessay.
e back to the Students Book Page 91. Let’s Do It No. 3.
1) Ask the students to read the passage carefully and complete the passaage with the correct forms of the given words.
2) Check the answers as a class and make the students pay attention to the grammar: the comparative and superlative adjectives and adverbs.

Step 6 Write, Draw and Guess.(About 18 minutes)
Divide the class into two teams.
Each team needs ten blanks. One each card, the teams write a sentence using comparative or superlative.( For example: This tree is bigger than the other one. This pencil is the longest.)
The two teams trade their cards. One by one, the team members draws pictures on the blackboard to represent their sentences. The teammates try to guess what the sentence says.
The team that gets more correct answers wins.
