教学目标
在Lead-in主图的帮助下，通过模仿跟读等活动了解sing、dance、draw等相关词汇，并初步感知歌谣的曲调与歌词。 在看、听、说的活动中，获取、梳理Cartoon time中Bobby为爷爷做的事，并进行模仿和跟读。同时通过故事理解Bobby与爷爷之间的感情，并联想到自身进行表达。 了解字母Xx、Yy、Zz的发音及规范书写，并通过发音规则朗读并了解更多的单词。
教学内容
教学重点： 在看、听、说的活动中，获取、梳理Cartoon time中Bobby为爷爷做的事，并进行模仿和跟读。同时通过故事理解Bobby与爷爷之间的感情，并联想到自身进行表达。 教学难点： 1.通过不同的活动，初步感知本单元的big question，即“What can you do for your family ”。 2.引导学生思考，想想自己能为家人做些什么。
教学过程
Pre-lesson: Step 1: Greeting What is your name Nice to meet you. While lesson: Step 1: Lead in the big question Look at the picture. T: Where are they
Ss: They are at home. T: Who are they Ss: They are ... They have a big family. T: What are they doing What can they do Ss: They can clean the table. They can draw, sing, dance and take pictures. Say the chant. T: What can you do Let us listen to a chant. I can sing a song for you. I can draw a picture too. I can dance—look at me! I can do things for my family. T: Listen, chant and find the key words. Ss: Sing a song, draw a picture and dance. Think about the big question. What can you do for your family Step 2: Cartoon time 1. Lead in the cartoon. T: Look at the picture and guess who they are. Ss: They are Bobby and Bobby’s grandpa. 2. Have a picture walk. Guess: Does Bobby love his grandpa What can Bobby do for his grandpa 3. Listen and finish the exercise on page 69. Read and tick. 4. Check the answer. Teach the key sentences: I can dance for you. I can draw a picture for you. 5. Ask: How does grandpa feel Bobby can sing and draw for his grandpa. Bobby’s grandpa feels happy. He loves Bobby very much. Read the story with the teacher. 6. Act the cartoon with your friends or parents. 7. Think: What can you do for your grandpa and grandma Make a drawing and talk about it. a. Review what you can do. b. Talk about what you can do. c. Draw the picture and use the sentence pattern: Look at my picture. I can ... for my grandpa/grandma. Thank you. Step 3: Letter time Lead in letters Xx, Yy, Zz. You can sing, dance and draw for your grandpa and grandma. Can you read for me Let’s read letters A to W. Let’s find the new letters. Today we are going to learn the last three letters of the alphabet. Can you find them Xx, Yy, Zz. Read the story again and find the letters Xx, Yy, Zz. Show and read the words. Let’s learn letters Xx, Yy, Zz. Read, demo writing, trace and write. Think of other words or songs with letters Xx, Yy, Zz. After lesson: Step 1: Recall the big question We can write letter Xx, Yy, Zz. We can sing. We can dance. We can draw. Do you remember the big question “What can you do for your family ” Step 2: Think about the big question and say the new chant What do you think of a big family Can you make a new chant I can ________ for my father/grandpa/uncle. I can ________ for my mother/grandma/aunt/cousin. I can ________—look at me! I can do things for my family. Step 3: Homework Read the cartoon fluently and try to act.
