通过本课时的学习,希望学生能够: 1. 在单元主题图的帮助下,初步感知并理解如何介绍朋友。 2. 在Cartoon time中,借助图片提示和语言情境读懂故事,感受故事的趣味性,进一步学习理解目标语言:“This is ... He’s/She’s my friend.”,并在情境中模仿、操练、运用目标语言。 3. 学习字母Ll、Mm、Nn的发音及书写,并尝试提炼发音规则,感知三个字母在单词中的发音。 4. 学会真诚地向他人介绍朋友,有礼貌地与新朋友问好。
教学内容
教学重难点: 1. 学习理解目标语言:“This is ... He’s/She’s my friend.”,并在情境中模仿、操练、运用目标语言。 2. 通过学习多组朋友关系,初步思考感知单元Big question。
教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up 1. Sing a song T: First, let’s sing a song together. Lyrics: I don’t read alone. I don’t read alone. I have my friends. I don’t play alone. I don’t play alone. I have my friends. All my friends can read with me. All my friends can play with me. T: What’s the song about S: Friends. 2. Look and say T: I have many friends. Do you know them Can you say their names PPT: Yang Ling/Mike Brown/Miss Li/Mr Green T: Who is this boy You don’t know. This is my new friend. His name is Zhang Hua. T: Now, can you greet my friends S: Hello. / Hi. / Nice to meet you. / Good morning. / ... T: Today we will talk about friends. Let’s read the title together: Unit 4 This is my friend. Step 2 Presentation 1. Lead-in time (1) Look and say T: Here are some friends. Look at the picture, who can you see You can use “This is ...” to introduce them. S: This is Yang Ling/Zhuang Hua/Wang Bing/Su Hai/Liu Tao. T: What are they doing S: They are reading in a library. T: Just as the song sings, friends can read together. T: Are Zhuang Hua and Yang Ling friends S: No. T: How does Wang Bing introduce Yang Ling to Zhuang Hua S: This is Yang Ling. She’s my friend. (2) Listen and answer T: Now, Zhang Hua has a new friend. Xu Tiantian has a new friend too. Who is her new friend Let’s listen to a dialogue. S: Zheng Lei. T: How does Xu Fenfen introduce Zheng Lei S: This is Zheng Lei. He’s my friend. T: Zheng Lei says “Let’s play football together.” As the song says, friends can play together. (3) Let’s think T: Just now, we talked a lot about friends. I have a big question for you: How do you introduce your friends This is a question of the whole unit. You don’t need to answer it right now, you can think about it, and we’ll talk about this later, OK 2. Cartoon time (1) Look and say T: Bobby and Sam like reading too. Here’s a story about them. Look at the pictures, who’s in the story S: Bobby, Sam, a mouse, a dog, a monkey. (2) Listen and answer T: You don’t know them. Let’s listen to the story and tell me: who are they S: This is Tina. This is Willy.This is Max. (3) Circle and say T: Now we know all the characters, let’s match their photos with their names. (4) Read and find T: Are they all friends Please read the story carefully and complete the sentences on your worksheet. S1: Bobby, Sam, Willy and Max are friends. They say goodbye to each other. S2: Bobby and Tina are friends. They greet each other. S3: Sam and Tina are not friends. T: How does Bobby introduce his friend Sam to Tina S: This is Sam. He’s my friend. Teach: he’s = he is (5) Read and think T: Tina is Bobby’s sister. How will Bobby introduce Tina to Sam S: This is Tina. She’s my sister. T: After Bobby’s introduction, are Sam and Tina friends now S: No. T: What does Sam say S: Hi. Nice to meet you. T: How does Tina feel S: She’s scared and runs away. T: Why does Tina run away S: Cats are the natural enemies of mice. T: Look at Bobby, he looks distressed. If you were Bobby, what would you say S: Sam is my friend. He won’t eat you. (6) Listen and imitate Ss read after the tape. (7) Act and show T: Work in groups of five, and read the story in roles. Then try to act it out. (8) Imagine and act T: The next day, Bobby goes home with Willy and Max. They meet Tina again. If you were Bobby, how would you introduce Max and Willy to Tina Work in groups of four and act it out. 3. Letters in focus (1) Read and circle T: Letters are also our friends. Look at the picture, can you find the letters S: This is Ll/Mm/Nn. T: Can you read the story again and circle the words with letters Ll, Mm, and Nn Ss circle the words: Max, and, Willy, hello, Sam, my (2) Listen and read Ss read after the tape. Ss trace on the letters in the textbook. (4) Read and match Do you know any other words with letters Ll, Mm, or Nn Ss say more words. T: I have some words for you. Read them first, and match the capital letters with the lowercase letters on your worksheet. Step 3 Consolidation (1) Think and say T: Let’s go back to the big question at the beginning. How do you introduce your friends S1: This is ... She’s my friend. S2: This is ... He’s my friend. (2) Let’s chant T: We can chant to answer this big question. Let’s chant together. We are friends. Homework: Read the cartoon fluently and act it out with your friends. Write the letters “Ll”, “Mm” and “Nn” three times on your exercise book.
