W: What a mix! Sun in the morning, showers at noon, cold wind now.
M: Yeah. It is impossible to decide if it’s spring or autumn!
Text 3
M: Look, the sun is setting. Seen from the beach, it’s so beautiful.
W: Really. It is quite different from that on the mountain.
M: So you won’t regret coming here instead of going to the live concert in the park in the town.
Text 4
M: Have you tried the interactive “Choose Your Own Adventure” books

do you think I should leave downtown Manhattan
W: For J.F.K. Well, you’d better leave plenty of time because often there are delays on the subway. Are you going on
the subway or the train
M: The subway, I think.
W: The subway If I were you, I’d allow about an hour and a half. So, if you want to be at the airport at 1:30, then you’d

W: It’s not bad. Maybe I could have the party at the Condor Hotel. What I’m concerned about is how to attract publicity.

M: Hello, Tourist Information Centre, Mike speaking, how can I help you
W: Oh, hi. I wanted to find out about cookery classes. I believe there are some one-day classes for tourists
M: OK, there are several classes. A very popular one is at the Food Studio on Wednesday. They focus on teaching you
how to cook seasonal products.
W: Right, that sounds good.
M: Another one is Bond’s Cookery School. They concentrate on teaching you to prepare healthy food.
W: So is that food for people on a diet
M: Well, I don’t think they particularly focus on low calorie diets or weight loss. It’s more to do with recipes that look
at specific needs.
W: I see. Do they have a website I could check
M: If you want to know more about them, every Thursday evening they have a lecture online. It’s free and you don’t
need to book or anything, just turn up at 7:30. And that might give you an idea of whether you want to go to an
actual class.
Text 9
W: Hello, Fairbanks speaking.
M: Good morning. My name’s Pritchard. I’ve just retired. I’d like to become a volunteer, and I gather your co-ordinate
voluntary work in the village.
W: Yes. Next month, on the 19th of October, we’re holding a quiz.
M: That sounds like fun. Can I do anything to help
W: Well, we need plenty of drinks for halfway through. So, if you could provide any, we’d be grateful.
M: I’m sure I could.
W: Thank you. Then on November the 18th, we’re holding a dance. We’ve booked a band that specializes in music of
the 1930s.
M: I’m not really a dancer, but I’d like to do something to help.
W:Well, we sell tickets in advance, and having an extra person to check them at the door, as people arrive, would be good!
M: OK, I’m happy with that.
W: We’re also arranging a New Year’s Eve party. The hotel will be providing dinner. The one thing we haven’t got yet
is a poster. That isn’t something you could do, is it
M: Well actually, yes. Before I retired I was a graphic designer, so that’s right up my street.
W: Oh perfect!
Text 10
OK, well, someone whose work really influenced me is Gabriel García Márquez. I like his short stories, such as
Leaf Storm and Strange Pilgrims, but I fell in love with his novels, particularly my favorite One Hundred Years of
Solitude. That book really made its mark on me.
Anyway, Márquez was a Colombian writer. He was born in 1928. He’s a Nobel Prize winner—he won the Nobel
Prize in Literature—and his books have been translated into dozens of languages, for example, Chinese and French. He
was one of the best-known writers in the style that’s called magical realism. I mean, magical things happen in his books.
I’m a big fan of that type of writing. Anyway, his novels are kind of funny, but it’s black humor. What impressed me
most is that he invented all these amazing, unforgettable characters, like, bad officials and devoted lovers, and cruel
policemen. And, through it all, you’re laughing at the characters, but you also see their world is falling apart. I haven’t
read his work in Spanish, only English, but the style is amazing. His dialogue is fast and funny, and he wrote amazing
descriptions of places and people. And, well, it was finding Márquez’s work as a teenager that really made me become
a reader.

第一节
A
22.【答案】A
(Interactive &
根据“Students can participate as an individual or as a club, class, or group of any size”可知,
在文章的第一段中,Cabot听到了教练说:“I’d play Cabot more. But she just won’t hustle(猛
Cabot
在第二段中,Cabot描述了自己在球场上的行为:“Mostly I just stared at the treetops past
the field, thinking of whatever story I was writing at the moment.”
C(Consider the details of her story content.
26.【答案】A
“hustle”。
C
第二段中的“But last August, doctors successfully removed a tumor(肿瘤) from the back of
her brain. Then Bogan had trouble speaking.”
“Though she has regained some ability to speak, there is no sign that she will ever be able to speak like she used to.”
29.【答案】A
第三段中的“She uses a text-to-voice app…so servers can hear her.”
Voice Engine
第五段提到了关于 Voice Engine应用的使用限制,“The company is very limited in who
we ’ re giving the technology to because they want to be sure everyone whose voice is being used has given
permission.”
第三段提到,“Last month, Bogan got her voice back in a way. Experts
created a tool for her using AI.”

提到,“‘The life can be easy,’Mr. Almeida says of his family’s project, which they call Gandum Village.”
第三段中,Mangundu 提到,“I believe it’s time we start building beautiful stories about the
future and use those stories of the future to address our current problems,”,这句话表明他启动 Rural Revive 不
因此,选项 C(To solve various global issues.)
Bekeur grows a garden … in the desert earth. Mr. Bekeur 从 Rural
Ultimately, we all have to be living in ecovillages,’ says Daniel
Greenberg.”

There are few photography subjects more breathtaking than the world around us.”,
选项 F “Landscape photography captures outdoors spirit.”
38.【答案】A
In most cases, landscape
photographers take pictures of nature by itself.”,表明风景摄影师通常拍摄自然本身。选项 A “There are no
humans in the shot.”
B “To sum, they capture the soul
of landscapes.”
While there’s no formal degree required to become a landscape photographer, having
a solid background in photography or art can help to advance your career.”,说明虽然没有正式的学位要求,但
G “Many colleges actually offer art degrees on
photography.”

【解析】根据“When Angela Zhao was just 10 years old, she entered her first piano competition.”,我们了解到
Angela参加的是钢琴比赛,而在下一句“On the day of the 41 , each participant had to perform their piece.”
42.【答案】A
【解析】通过“But when she was next up to play”,我们知道 Angela即将上台表演。
her mind.”
What if I played the 43 What if I forgot the notes
What if I just 44 ”也印证了这一点,因此最合理的填入项是“doubts”,表示疑虑或不确定感。
【解析】通过下文的“As these worries 45 through her mind,”等可知,Angela 想到各种出错的可能,担
【解析】在这个句子中,“As these worries 45 through her mind,”描述的是 Angela的担忧在脑海中快速
【解析】句子提到,“Once the girl was 46 , she walked offstage...”
47.【答案】A
Angela
【解析】在这个句子中,“She looked at me and smiled with a 48 up,”描述的是一个鼓励性的动作。
【解析】句子提到,“Most 49 , that smile made me think that today I’m just...”
【解析】“that smile made me think that today I’m just 50 and I can perform on the stage.”

53.【答案】A
As a competitor, she gave me respect and helped a(n) 53 girl to face the stage,”
【解析】句子提到,“If you can hear this, I just want you to 54 : You changed a moment of my life...”

56.【答案】a

Typically
Because/Since/As
60.【答案】to use
根据“during the control of the Guangxu Emperor”,可以推断出主句描述的是过去发生的事
62.【答案】made

One possible version:
Last weekend, our school organized a field trip to the famous Moonlit Lake, aiming to ease the mounting stress
and anxiety among our senior high students with intense academic pressures.
Upon arrival, the view of the lake, shining under the clear blue sky, instantly captivated our hearts. We were
engaged in various activities, from leisurely wanders along the lakeside paths to insightful discussions about the
ecological significance of such perfect bodies of water. The highlight was undoubtedly the boat ride, where we felt as if
we were gliding through a living painting.
Personally, this trip was a transformative experience that enriched our lives, both academically and emotionally.

But the deer, weakened by her suffering, almost fell. Her legs trembled under her weight, and she breathed heavily.
It was then that Jamie, with a flash of determination in his eyes, suggested leading her to the river, where she might
drink some water to get her energy back. Together, they approached the deer, their movements slow and deliberate, not
wanting to surprise her further. The deer, sensing no threat, allowed them to draw closer. Guiding her, step by careful
step, they reached the water’s edge.
The deer lowered her head and drank deeply. With each sip, her eyes regained their sparkle, her body regaining its
strength. Then, with a final nod of gratitude, the deer limped away, pausing for a moment to look back at its rescuers. In
that brief glance, there was a connection, a mutual understanding that went beyond words. Watching this, Jamie and
Alex smiled and made their way back to camp, carrying with them the memory of a deer who had taught them
invaluable lessons about life, love, and the enduring spirit of the wild.
