1.excuse me的意思是“对不起、打扰一下”，是请求别人帮忙时用的。sorry指“对不起的、抱歉的”，是向别人道歉时用的。
2.学会用祈使句告知对方出行线路。walk along和walk straight意思相同，前者后面一般加路名或名词，指“沿着……走”，后者单独使用，指笔直走。
3.学会用特殊疑问句“How do I get to..…？”询问去某处的路线。get to 和arrive都是“到达”的意思，但是get to后面加地点，如果是副词，省略to,如get there。arrive后面要加介词，再加地点：
arrive in+大地方（城市、国家等），如arrive in China。
arrive at+小地方（火车站、飞机场等），如arrive at the station。
4.between 指“在……中间”，between后面必须是复数形式或两个人或物等。
