【参考范文】
I threw the bag over my shoulder, and we set off.We pedaled as fast as we could, our hearts pounding with excitement and determination. We skillfully navigated through the traffic, taking sharp turns with precision and Gabriel occasionally glancing at his phone to monitor our speed. Our legs burned with effort, but the thought of returning the girl’s bag kept us going. As we drew closer to Macon, the sight of the Voyageur docking at the wharf came into view.We flew off our bikes and dashed to the boat, waving the bag at the girl.
The girl’s eyes lit up with astonishment while her mom clapped in delight. They hadn’t anticipated that we would make such an effort to pedal our bikes and catch up with them. The girl eagerly rushed over and took the bag from me,showering us with heartfelt thanks in fluent French. Her mom joined in,offering us some pastries as a token of their appreciation. We waved goodbye, feeling a sense of accomplishment as the Voyageur sailed off into the distance, leaving us with a memory of kindness and determination that would last a lifetime.

Text 10(第18题为推断题)
Thank you for joining our wellness(健康)workshop.I’m Richard Simmons. Before we begin,I want to share some advice.Staying active is essential for a healthy lifestyle, but it’s important to avoid common workout mistakes. The first error is the lack of variety in exercising.Engaging in the same routine can lead to a fitness plateau(停滞期),where you see no progress. To prevent this,I suggest changing your workout plans bimonthly.(19) Do diverse activities like yoga to improve flexibility, weightlifting to build strength,or Pilates(普拉提)to enhance core stability.Variety not only prevents boredom but also improves your overall fitness. It can help to develop different muscle groups.
Another common error is overtraining. It’s important to understand that rest is just as crucial for muscle recovery and growth as the workout itself. It’s not always about the intensity or frequency of your workouts.I recommend aiming for two intense sessions per week.On the days you’re not pushing yourself hard, consider engaging in lighter activity, such as fast walking or leisurely cycling. This approach balances physical effort with recovery. Nonetheless,
it’s advisable to have at least one day of complete rest weekly to allow your body to fully recover.(20) Remember, wellness is a marathon;listen to your body and adjust your activities accordingly.西南名校联盟2025届“3+3+3”高考备考诊断性联考(一)

Liao Zhilue, from Huazhou, Guangdong, returned to his hometown to boost it by developing Huajuhong, a popular Chinese herb. After graduating in 2015, he started to cultivate it. He worked hard for two years, studied planting techniques, and in 2017, founded a cooperative, revitalizing the declining Huajuhong industry and involving thousands of villagers.
Liao’s road to success was not smooth. He grew up working in the fields and learned the traditional techniques of herbal processing. Upon returning to his village, Liao encountered distrust from farmers. Supported by local government, he made efforts to sell their produce, employing various methods to expand market reach. Through years of perseverance, by 2023, the cooperative had established deep partnerships with more than 1,000 local farmers, creating direct employment opportunities for over 3,000 people.
To increase sales,he utilized live streaming to broaden the reach of his products and promote the industry forward. As the short videos spread, the e-commerce business of Liao’s cooperative began to flourish. He then came to the realization that promoting the culture of Huajuhong was more urgent and crucial than simply promoting his own brand."In the era of e-commerce,the popular Huajuhong should not be exclusive to my business alone.Only when the entire Huajuhong brand gains prominence can it drive the development of the entire industry in Huazhou,"Liao said.
Liao began promoting the concept of treating Huajuhong as both a medicine and a food ingredient, not just a traditional remedy(药品).Through extensive field research,Liao integrated grassroots voices to advocate for policy changes. His efforts bore fruit when the National Health Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation included Huajuhong,in the dual-purpose food and medicinal material catalog in August this year. This decision, reflecting the ambitions of more than 350,000 industry practitioners, indicated a new era of growth in the Huajuhong industry.

C. To study planting techniques. D. To develop Huazhou’s economy.

while in hospital was associated with a decrease in unanticipated deaths,a new study says. The study, published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal, found a 26 percent reduction in non-palliative(非姑息性的)deaths among patients in St.Michael's Hospital’s general internal medicine unit when the AI tool was used.
The technology called CHARTwatch continuously analyzed more than 100 different pieces of information about each patient in the unit. That includes information such as age and medical history,as well as measurements such as vital signs, blood pressure, heart rate and lab test results."It gathers all of that information to make a prediction about their risk of becoming more seriously ill going forward and then it updates its model predictions every hour based on how all of those things are changing over time,"Verma said.
When the AI tool predicted that a patient was deteriorating,it sent an alert to physicians and nurses, prompting them to quickly intervene. If the clinician agreed with the AI prediction after examining the patient, necessary action was taken. That included transferring the patient tothe ICU,giving them antibiotics for serious infections or monitoring the patient more frequently.
If a patient’s death were inevitable, they would receive end-of-life care earlier than they might have otherwise, easing their suffering,Verma said.
Those early-warning signals are important in busy hospital settings where each nurse or doctor is caring for many patients who are getting multiple lab tests, medical imaging and other interventions that could change their prognosis(预后).Verma said,"Humans cannot monitor
20 to 30 patients simultaneously all the time, but they can act more promptly in response to deteriorating patients’conditions with the aid of these signals."
Ross Mitchell, who is the Alberta Health Services chair in AI in health, said the research was "very encouraging.""This specific technology needs to be studied in a broader sense. It needs to be deployed in more hospitals across Canada so that we can get more than one hospital involved,"said Mitchell.

ASTRONAUTS,set your watches.Time on the surface of the moon has been calculated to tick at a rate of 57 millionths of a second a day faster than it does on Earth,a difference that could be crucial to lunar exploration.
Later this decade,NASA hopes to return humans to the moon for the first time in more than50 years."We’re looking at a sustained presence on the moon,"says Cheryl Gramling at NASA."Infrastructure on Earth such as GPS provides time down to the nanosecond(十亿分之一秒)level. If you’re trying to navigate or land on the moon, and avoid dangerous areas, then that precision matters."To tackle this issue,NASA was recently tasked by the White House to create a Coordinated Lunar Time for the moon by the end of 2026.Slava Turyshev at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California and his colleagues were already working on the problem, and now have an answer."Somebody needed to sit down and work out the maths,"he says.
Time ticks faster on the moon because its gravity is one-sixth that of Earth’s, a result of time
dilation. Turyshev and his team have calculated the flow of time on Earth and the moon in reference to the centre of the solar system, known as its barycentre, which moves depending on the position of the planets relative to the sun. Their calculations show that time on the moon’s surface ticks 57.5 microseconds per Earth day (0.0000575 seconds) faster than it does on Earth’s surface, so over 50 years, an astronaut on the moon would be about a second older than if they had stayed on Earth.
Previous results for calculating lunar time have arrived at a similar number. In February, a study calculated that time on the moon’s surface ticked 56 microseconds faster than on Earth, based on the orbits of the two bodies. Performing multiple calculations will help create an accurate time zone, says Gramling. Defining moon time will also require us to set a "zero day"date on which we begin tracking lunar seconds compared with Earth.
32. What is the main purpose of Paragraph 1
A. To make comparisons. B. To provide an example.
C. To introduce the topic. D. To demonstrate a method.
33. Why is the difference in time between the moon and Earth crucial for lunar exploration
A. It influences the orbits of the moon around Earth.
B. It determines the length of astronauts' stays on the moon.
C. It affects the accuracy of navigation and landing on the moon.
D. It changes the gravitational pull experienced on the moon's surface.
34.What is the main reason for time ticking faster on the moon compared to Earth
A.The moon’s closer distance to the sun. B.The faster rotational speed of the moon.
C.The lack of an atmospheric layer on the moon.
D.The moon’s gravity being smaller than Earth’s.
35.What can we infer from the last paragraph
A.NASA has created an accurate time zone on the moon.
B.NASA has had different results about the time on the moon.
C.NASA has set a starting point to define the time on the moon.
D.NASA has tried several times to calculate the time on the moon.

Transitioning to college can be tough for students as they navigate a new learning environment without the familiar guardrails of high school. But those who hone(训练)their study skills in high school are better prepared for their learning and time management in college. Here are some ways
college-bound high school students can develop good study habits.
Ask for help
College is more self-directed than high school.Students must learn to advocate for themselves. They should seek help from a professor, classmate or campus tutor and find resources like academic advisers, mental health services and study groups. 36 .
Meet deadlines
High school teachers may be tolerant with late work or make-up work policies, and some students make a habit of taking advantage of that grace(宽限期). 37 .So high school students should make a habit of meeting deadlines and assuming there won't be a chance to turn work in late or redo it.

High schools discipline students for unexcused absences and reward perfect attendance, but college attendance policies, are usually different. 39 .Experts say you should make a point of being in class every day through high school and carry that habit with you to college.
Take care of your body
Build and maintain a routine that includes regular physical activity in high school. It’s usually easier to keep this momentum(势头)going once you get to college than it is to start. 40 .High school students can form good sleep habits by sticking to a consistent sleep schedule and limiting light exposure and technology use in the evenings.
A.Prioritize regular attendance B.Take advantage of attendance policies C.Rest is another important piece of the puzzle D.They take that as a true make-up opportunity E.College professors likely won’t be as forgiving F.Students should practice self-advocacy skills before college G.Some professors take attendance, but it's up to you to attend or not

When we arrived in Tournus, Gabriel and I parked our bikes near the wharf and walked to the town square, starving after a 33-kilometer ride. We made it within one and a half hours, which is really something! We planned to get lunch and then bike back to Macon, a city on the Saone River where I was staying with Gabriel’s family for the summer.
It was market day, bustling with locals buying groceries and tourists hunting for souvenirs. We bought a long, thin loaf of bread called a baguette and some Brie, a soft cheese I'm obsessed with. It tastes awesome with the crispy crust of the baguette. While eating, I noticed a girl in a USA Basketball T-shirt smiling at us. Basketball is popular in France too. You can even watch NBA games on TV. The girl stopped to buy cookies with someone that I guessed was her mom because they looked so much alike. We later saw her and her mom by the river, enjoying pastries(糕点) on a bench near a riverboat named Voyageur, which had docked earlier. Then they boarded the boat. As it was preparing to leave, I spotted a colorful shopping bag on the bench. The girl had left it! Gabriel and I called out to her in French and English, waving the bag. When the girl noticed us, she was surprised but disappointed as the boat began to leave. Gabriel suggested throwing it to her, but I feared it would fall into the river. We had to find another way !
Running alongside the boat,Gabriel learned from a sailor that the next stop was Macon-our destination as well.It would take the boat just under two hours at a speed of 12 knots.Gabriel searched on the phone about the speed."That’s 22 kilometers-or 14miles-per hour,”he said.“ Do you think we can keep up ”I asked. With a laugh,he replied,“We're about to find out!”
注意:1.续写词数应为150左右;
2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
I threw the bag over my shoulder, and we set off.
The girl's eyes lit up with astonishment while her mom clapped in delight.
