1. T greets the class.
T: Class begins, boys and girls! Good morning/afternoon!
T: Open your book at page 43. Let’s have a look at the picture on this page. What do you see on it
T: Right. The Great Wall, one of the largest building-construction projects ever undertaken.
T: Look through a few more pictures in this unit and you’ll know something about the topic of the unit: protecting our heritage sites.
2. T asks Ss to watch a video carefully and finish the exercises.
T: Watch the video and finish the exercises on page 43.
3. T exhibits the video script.

Step 2 Warming up before reading
T asks Ss to answer two questions.
