【参考范文】
话题1:
We have had a class meeting today on whether we should give money to beggars and we have different opinions.
Some believe that we should give money to beggars because some of them are old people, who can’t live on their own.Among them are also some students who have dropped out of school because their families are so poor. And we can also see some disabled people, who can hardly make a living due to physical or mental inability.
On the other hand, many more students think we shouldn’t give them money because most of the beggars beg not because they are poor but because they want to make money more easily. They are not real beggars.Besides,to give money would encourage them to be lazy even if they have the ability to work.
In general,we should help people of the inferior group. But we should remain sensible when giving money.
话题2:
Dear Tony,
I’m glad to hear from you and I can’t wait to introduce the Universal Studios theme park to you.
The park is located in the eastern urban area of Beijing, covering a land of 4 square kilometers. It is the fifth universal theme park in the world which was officially opened to the public in September, 2021. The park is also the home to seven big theme parts and two big theme hotels, including some recreational facilities that have been set up for the first time in the world.
What makes it special is that it will also feature Chinese cultures in some parts for the first time, like the fancy Chinese Fashion show, Chinese unique giant pandas and Cantonese Dimsum. Wondering in the park, not only will you entertain yourself with breathtaking scenes, thrilling rides and tasty food, but you will have an amazing experience of Chinese culture as well.
I hope you will find your visit to the park enjoyable and rewarding.
话题3:
Dear Tom,
I’m delighted to know that you are interested in Chinese characters but sorry to learn that you have difficulty in writing them. It is true that Chinese characters are difficult to write, especially for foreigners, but don’t worry. I’d like to offer you some practical suggestions.
First of all, practice with patience and you will make progress in time. Furthermore, as proper guidance can help you learn more easily, it’s a good idea to learn some basic writing skills either from a Chinese teacher or from teaching videos on the Internet. What’s more, I strongly suggest you use copybooks as we Chinese do at our beginning stage.
I hope my advice will be of some help to you.
Yours,
Li Hua

To improve your learning efficiency, engaging yourself in class actively can help a lot because answering teachers’ questions and thinking positively leave little room for you to be absent-minded. 话题9:
Dear Mark.
knowing from your e-mail that you are taking a selective course on Chinese this semester and asking me for some advice, I am more than delighted to offer you my personal suggestions.
First of all, listening carefully to your teacher in class and practicing as often as possible after class are of' crucial importance because mastering a language requires a lot of practice. In addition, I'd like to recommend you to read some Chinese story books, which will help you enlarge your vocabulary and understand the different meanings of the words. Apart from that, it is also a good idea to communicate with Chinese native speakers as well as watch Chinese movies and listen to Chinese songs which are good ways to learn idiomatic Chinese.
Hopefully, my proposals will be of practical use for you. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to turn to me for help. Looking forward to seeing your improvement
Yours,
Li Hua
话题10:
Dear Jim,
You asked me to recommend some books about Chinese culture in your letter. It's my pleasure to share my ideas with you.
To begin with, the first type I want to recommend is Chinese classic novels, which contain rich Chinese cultural ingredients. Some examples of them are Journey to the West and the Romance of the Three Kingdom. In addition, the second type of my recommendation is the books about traditional festivals. Only by learning about traditions can you know the essence of a foreign history and social values. A specific book I would introduce is titled Traditional Chinese Festivals and Customs
I hope my recommendations would be of help to you. Looking forward to your reply.
Yours
Li Hua
