Task: To introduce someone’s neighbourhood.
Background study and material analyses:
The children of Grade Four have learnt some places around their home. They can use the patterns ‘There is/are…’ to briefly introduce their neighbourhood.
Students can know about more places through the study, get some information by using ‘Is/Are there…?’and introduce one’s neighbourhood. They can learn in different ways, such as individual learning, pair work and group work. They can know from learning that home is the best place.
Objectives: 1. To use nouns to identify more places in a neighbourhood.
2.To use modeled sentences to describe existence.
3. To focus on different places around our home.
