1.情态动词can的用法
1. can的基本用法
(1)表能力,意为“能;会”,否定形式为can not,can't,cannot。过去式为could。
例 The boy can play the piano well. 这个男孩钢琴弹得很好。
(2)表推测,意为“可能”,常用于疑问句或否定句中。不用于肯定句中。
例 She can't be Linda because she doesn't wear glasses.
她不可能是琳达,因为她没戴眼镜。
(3)表请求、许可,常用于“Can/Could /you... ”句型中。此时,could不表示过去,语气比can更委婉,但回答时用can。
例 Can you draw a picture for me 你能给我画一幅画吗
2.对can的一般疑问句的回答
(1)对询问能力的回答可用“Yes,主语+can.”或“No,主语+can't.”。
例—Can you sing that song 你会唱那首歌吗
—Yes, I can. /No, I can't. 是的,我会。/不,我不会。
(2)对表示请求或许可的回答可以用“OK/All right. /Sorry,you can't/Sorry,I'm afraid I can't.”等。注意不能用could。
例—Can you help me with my math 你能帮我学数学吗
—Sorry, I'm afraid I can't. 对不起,恐怕不行。

How can you remember a song for a long time Why does your teacher use songs to teach you English There is a scientific reason for this.
Researchers (研究者) are studying the relationship between music and remembering a foreign language. “Singing could be a new way of learning, especially for a foreign language. The brain likes to remember things in a catchy (悦耳易记的) and relaxing way. For example, children can remember difficult words quickly when they are in a song,” said Dr. Karen Ludke. If children find it difficult to learn foreign languages, this new way may help.
