Mini Writing
In poetry, it is common to have lines that rhyme; that is to say, these lines have a repetition of the same sound at the end. This makes poetry sound beautiful.
Lines that rhyme:
Swee and low, sweet and low,
Wind of the western sea,
Low, low, breathe and blow,
Wind of the western sea!
Over the rolling waters go,
Come from the dying moon, and blow,
Blow him again to me;
While my little one, while my pretty one, sleeps.
The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom.
Whose woods these are I think I know,
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
Mini writing
Possible answer:
When I see the beautiful flowers
I can look at them for hours
My heart feels glad
And I stop feeling bad
I love their smell
And all is well
