教材分析
本节课选自 2019 年人教版高中新教材必修二 Unit5 Reading and Thinking——Music。话题比较贴近学生的日常生活,而且极具时代气息,易于被学生接受。学生通过该单元话题的学习,不仅能够获得语言能力的提高,也能够获得文化意识的提升。本节课的阅读文章对一种新的音乐形式——虚拟合唱团及其创始人埃里克.惠塔克(Eric Whitacre)进行了介绍。本文以说明为主,以叙事为辅,旨在让读者不仅对其组织形式、制作方式和产生的原因等有所了解,还对这种形式给人们歌唱方式和整个世界带来的积极影响有所认识。该文本采用了说明性文体,共四段:第一段介绍了虚拟合唱团的组织形式、制作方式,及其所产生的积极影响;第二、三两段介绍了虚拟合唱团创始人埃里克·惠塔克在音乐方面的经历,重点介绍了他于 2009 年创办首个虚拟合唱团“金色光芒(Lux Aurumque)”的前因后果和 2014 年为联合国儿童基金会(UNICEF)创办的“虚拟青年合唱团(Virtual Youth Choir)”;第四段是作者对虚拟合唱团的形式和影响的感悟。
学情分析
本节课授课对象为高一的学生,经过高一第一个学期的语言能力和思维品质的培养,学生已基本具备用英语获取和处理信息、分析和解决问题的能力,对于阅读策略也有所了解。对于基础的信息查找类问题,大部分学生能够在老师的引导下顺利完成,但是对于文本深入探讨的能力相对较弱,语言输出方面也存在着一定的问题。因此在设计时,考虑到学生的可接受程度,将部分环节(如分析虚拟合唱团成功的原因、口头介绍虚拟合唱团等)的难度做了降级处理。基于班里学生英语水平参差不齐的情况,教学过程中,教师布置的任务需兼顾各个层次的学生,使问题设置多样化,从而促使他们通过听、说、读、思,在知识层面和思维层面都有不同程度的收获。
课时目标

3. Understand the positive influence of the virtual choir and introduce it in your own words.
The key points and difficult points :
Through the design of various classroom activities such as watching and sharing videos, understanding the main idea and details of each part of the article, and organizing group discussions after reading, we aim to guide students to think deeply, encourage analysis and expression, and develop critical thinking skills. Through this discourse learning, teachers guide students to understand through a series of English learning activities such as acquisition and organization, summarization and integration, expression and interpretation, analysis and judgment, internalization and application

Invite students to sing a song Five Hundred Miles together and introduce “choir”to them which includes the traditional choir and virtual choir.
