1教学目标
Knowledge objectives:
Master the new expressions: hard work, say "Thank you " to, on the morning of, why not do sth Why don't you
do sth help sb do sth etc.
Get to know common knowledge about Mother's Day and expressions about planning holidays.
Ability objectives:
Learn to read a text quickly and get the main idea, find topic sentence in each paragraph and enable students to
find specific details in reading.
Improve students' speakingability by talking about holidays plans.
Emotional objectives:
Introduce foreign holidays and other interesting cultural information tostudents.
Tell students to be thankful to their parents and do something to help them.
2学情分析
Students in Grade Seven are able to express their own experiences in English to some degree. The topic of
Mother's Day is related to their real life and holidays are interesting to talk about. Teaching tools like cards and
flowers will be applied to arouse students' interest in the class and have a better understanding of the foreign
holiday.
