why 和 because的用法
本单元重点学习了 why引导的用来询问原因的特殊疑问句的用法，其句式为“Why+一般疑问句 ”, 在回答时用“Because...”。 如:
— Why do you like animals — 你为什么喜欢动物
— Because they' re very lovely. — 因为它们很可爱。
1. why的一般用法
(1)why是一个疑问词，它一般位于句首，用来提问“为什么”。在这种情况下一般用because回答。如:
— Why are you so happy — 你为什么如此高兴
— Because I have a new bike. — 因为我有一辆新的自行车。
(2)why后面直接加 not，表示询问和建议。句型结构为：Why not+动词原形 “为什么不……呢 ”不需要用 because来回答。如:
— You are so tired. Why not go to bed — 你这么累。为什么不去睡觉呢
— It's late. Why not take a taxi — 迟到了。为什么不乘出租车呢
(3)why表示反问，意思是“为何”，也不需要回答。如：
Why bother to write 为什么还费事写信
2. why 的特殊用法
why 用来说明理由, 表示“……的原因”, the reason why 原因是……。如:
That's why I left so early. 这就是我早早离开的原因。
3. because的用法
because的中文意思是“因为”，它是用来对应 why的。如：
— Why are you so sad — 你为什么如此伤心
— Because I can't find my book. — 因为我找不到我的书。
4. because 和 because of的用法
这两个都可以用来回答为什么，意思也一样，但要注意：because后面接句子，because of 后面要接名词或名词短语。如：
I was late, because I got up late in the morning. 我迟到是因为我早上起晚了。
l like New Year's Day because of lots of presents. 我喜欢元旦, 因为有许多的礼物。
