When I was small, sometimes my mum gave the family a funny special treat—she would make breakfast food for dinner.
I remember she did so one night. She had been at work all day but wanted to do something special for us all. In Grade Eight, I took part in an English competition at school.During the period before the game, I played computer games in my room every day when I got home after school. Everyone has some unforgettable experiences. I will never forget the day I went hiking with my classmates.
One Sunday last spring, our class went hiking in the mountains. At first, my classmates and I walked fast with excitement. But later I gradually felt tired and started to breathe heavily. And I was so hot that I wanted to stop climbing. All I'd like to do was to go home and enjoy a shower. Soon I fell behind others. Just then, Tom came up to me and asked me how I felt and let me have a rest for a while. Besides, he told me not to give up and encouraged me to go on climbing. In the end, I reached the top happily together with my classmates. I felt grateful not only for his encouragement, but also for the lesson he taught me.
This experience taught me I can get what I want if I hold on. From then on, it always encouraged me to face the difficulties I met in my life.
