One day, Mrs. Blair, our math teacher, was lecturing on a topic I had previewed the night before when she suddenly stopped and asked a question. I raised my hand as soon as possible and answered the question quickly, but it turned out to be wrong. “Who can answer this question ” Mrs.Blair asked hopefully, but no one raised their hand. After school, she waited for me at the classroom door as usual , but I walked straight past , ignoring her. In the following days, I didn't talk to her, feeling empty inside.
Winter sports day was around the corner, and I saw my chance. I signed up for the high jump, an event which I was good at but Alice was weak in. It was a chance to prove to her and the other students that I was not the eternal runner-up. The thought of numerous classmates watching filled me with excitement.

第一段
I desperately fell onto the jumping mat and the crowd burst into laughter. My face turned beet - red, and I wished I could disappear right away. Just then, a familiar figure rushed towards me. It was Alice. Without a second thought, she took off her school uniform jacket and quickly wrapped it around my waist, covering my embarrassing torn pants. Her eyes were full of concern as she said softly, “Don't worry. Let's go to the locker room.” I was too stunned to speak, feeling a lump in my throat. All the while, I was thinking about how mean I had been to her these days.
第二段
I went back to the field to compete in the second round in the company of Alice. With her by my side, I felt a new kind of confidence. As I prepared to jump, I heard her cheering loudly for me, “You can do it!” Her words gave me the strength I needed. This time, I focused all my energy and leaped with all my might. I cleared the bar successfully, and the crowd erupted into applause. After the event, I walked up to Alice, my eyes filled with gratitude. “Thank you,” I said sincerely. She smiled and replied, “We're friends. That's what friends are for.” From that day on, I understood that true friendship is more precious than any competition, and I was lucky to have such a wonderful friend like Alice.

第一段
I desperately fell onto the jumping mat and the crowd burst into laughter. Humiliation washed over me like a tidal wave, and I was rooted to the spot in sheer embarrassment. In that moment of despair, Alice appeared in front of me like an angel. She swiftly took off her outerwear and carefully draped it around me, shielding my torn pants from view. Looking at me with a warm smile, she said, “Come on, let's get you sorted out.” Her kindness made me feel even more ashamed of my recent behavior towards her.
第二段
I went back to the field to compete in the second round in the company of Alice. Her presence beside me was a constant source of comfort. When it was my turn to jump, she gave me an encouraging pat on the back. With a deep breath, I ran towards the bar and leaped. The feeling of flying through the air was exhilarating, and I successfully cleared the bar. The cheers from the crowd were deafening. After the competition, I turned to Alice and said, “I'm so sorry for how I've treated you. You're the best friend I could ever ask for.” She hugged me tightly and said, “It's okay.
