专题九 非谓语动词-doing
一、基础解析:
非谓语动词主要分三类:不定式doing 现在分词doing 过去分词done
非谓语动词作主语和宾语: 只有不定式(to do)和动名词(doing)可以作主语和宾语,过去分词(done)不可以。
区别:Doing和 to do 作主语
Reading extensively contributes to our writing skills.
To win a gold medal in Olympic Games is a dream for most athletes.
2)只接to do作宾语:aim(打算); manage(设法);determine(决心);decide(决定)等
3)只接doing作宾语:admit(承认);consider (考虑);avoid(避免);include(包括);risk(冒险);resist(抵抗);forbid(禁止),lead to,devote oneself to,object to,stick to等;
2. 非谓语动词作表语 核心点:现在分词和过去分词作形容词作用。
We were amazed at what he did. The problem remains unsolved. The scenery is fascinating.
3.非谓语动词作定语
1)分词作定语:现在分词doing 表主动,正在;过去分词done 表被动,完成;
He tried to catch the falling child.
We offer help to the students facing financial problems.
It can help to build a community with a shared future.
The novel written by Dickens unveils the cruelty suffered by the poor people.
不定式表示将来,常后置;
His goal to create a project for the disabled will become a reality.
This plan to be discussed at the meeting is still unknown.
非谓语动词作状语
Doing (表主动) 和 done(表被动、状态)用法:表示时间,原因,让步,条件,方式, 伴随等;
Seeing the earth from the Chinese Space Station, the astronauts felt amazed.
Seen from the Chinese Space Station , the earth looks like a blue ball.
He sent me an e-mail, hoping to get further information.
The train was caught in heavy snow, thus causing the delay.
Dressed in white, he looked like a doctor.
To do表示目的状语;(to do 在句中作目的状语时前面不能有“,”)
To make us see the earth more clearly, the astronauts take many pictures from different angles.
They grow more corns to improve the water quality.
非谓语动词作补语:to do; doing; done 都可以作宾语补足语或主语补足语,但是表达意义不同:在see, hear, feel, watch, notice, hear等感官动词后和find, have, keep, leave等动词之后可以用doing/ done 做宾语补足语;
My father suddenly saw a homeless man knocking at the door.
When they get back home, they found the room broken into.
不定式作补语,常见于:ask,invite,wish,advise,tell,encourage,request,order,force,cause,allow,permit,warn,forbid,expect 等;
to do / doing / done 的其它形式
Not knowing the truth made him feel stupid about himself. He pretended not to know the truth.
Being laughed at by others is terrible. I hate being looked down upon by others.
