语法知识
本单元主要语法是情态动词“could”表示请求许可和请求帮助。
表示请求许可:“Could I... ” 用来向对方请求许可做某事,语气比 “Can I... ” 更委婉、更礼貌。例如:Could I watch TV after dinner (晚饭后我可以看电视吗?)
表示请求帮助:“Could you please... ” 用来向对方请求帮助做某事,语气委婉客气。例如:Could you please help me with my English (你能帮我学英语吗?)
注意:在回答 “Could I... ” 和 “Could you please... ” 引导的句子时,要用 “can” 或 “can't”,而不用 “could” 或 “couldn't”。因为 “could” 在这里不表示过去时态,而是表示委婉语气。
