If you get angry many times in a day, it is time for you to think about how to deal with it. Here are some of my suggestions.
When you are angry, try to tell yourself through another voice that you are angry and that it is not a bad thing. It just shows that you have different ideas. Accept that many things are not 100% right or wrong. In our communication with others, the final purpose is not to decide who is right and who is wrong, but to look for something in common.
If you still feel strong anger (怒气), try taking a deep breath (呼吸) and let anger out of your body along with the breath. Don’t say angry words when you are very angry, for you will regret saying them when you cool down.
Discussing with a third party is helpful. It is hard for the two parties in anger to understand each other, but the idea of an outsider can help both parties to get mutual (相互的) understanding.
Anger is just one of the many emotions (情绪) that make us human, and to well manage it adds to our ability to truly understand the world.
23.What is the final purpose of communication with other people
A.To show different ideas. B.To look for something in common.
C.To refuse useful suggestions. D.To decide whether one is right or not.
24.What does the writer advise us to do when we can’t cool down
A.Say angry words. B.Try taking a deep breath.
C.Control our voices. D.Stop talking with others.
25.What does the underlined word “party” in Paragraph 4 mean
A.An activity. B.A visitor. C.A meeting. D.A person.
26.What is the passage mainly about
A.How to manage anger. B.How to show feelings.
C.How to deal with regrets. D.How to understand the world.

One day in 1903, French scientist Edouard Benedictus climbed high to get something on a high shelf in his laboratory. He carelessly hit an empty glass bottle and it dropped to the floor.
Benedictus climbed down, expecting a mess, but he found a surprise. The glass hadn’t broken into pieces! It had cracked (破裂的), but it had held together. Benedictus wondered why.
One of his students explained he had used the bottle to hold liquid (液体) plastic during an experiment. Then he had put it back on the shelf and forgotten to wash it. Later the liquid plastic dried (变干) itself. Benedictus realized the dried plastic had kept the broken glass from falling apart.
The same week, Benedictus read a report about a car accident in the newspaper. The car was a new and exciting invention then, and many people were driving fast on the roads. Unluckily, there were no traffic lights yet. When accidents happened, people were often hurt by flying broken glass. Suddenly, Benedictus thought of the broken bottle. Could his accident be something useful
Benedictus spent a lot of time in the laboratory, trying to find out the best way to make safety glass for cars. Finally, Benedictus put some liquid plastic between two pieces of glass and made them stick together. When he hit it, the “glass-and-plastic sandwich” broke, but not into pieces.
Benedictus succeeded. His method of putting plastic between pieces of glass is still used today. And that’s how an unexpected meeting between an unwashed glass bottle and a careless scientist led to an invention that made us all safer.
27.What can we learn from the first three paragraphs
A.Why the glass bottle hadn’t fallen apart.
B.What Benedictus was looking for on the shelf.
C.How the student dried the liquid plastic.
D.What mistake the student made in the experiment.
28.When did Benedictus decide to work on his invention
A.When he read a news report. B.When he climbed high on a shelf.
C.After his student had a car accident D.After his student gave him a suggestion.
29.What was Benedictus’ safety glass like
A. B. C. D.
30.What can be the best title for the passage
A.A Careless Scientist B.New Technology Makes Us Safer
C.An Unexpected Invention D.Failure Is the Mother of Success
