My first time to swim
During the three years’ time, many sweet memories have been left in my mind. However, the most unforgettable one is my first time to swim.
Last summer holiday, I asked my father to teach me how to swim. We went to the swimming pool happily. To start with, I was afraid to dive into the water.
I thought the water might make me feel uncomfortable. My father always encouraged me. He said that the water was friendly and he would protect me. Then I jumped in for a swim, but I couldn’t swim forward at all, which really let me down. I couldn’t help thinking how silly I looked! Luckily, my father was patient enough to tell me how to move, and how to stretch out my hands and legs. Slowly, I could move a little. It took me about four hours to learn to swim. Although tired, I felt quite happy and proud.
Nothing is easy in the world and the first time is always difficult. But if we have a strong mind and put in enough effort, success will wave to us!
