I try to be friends with all my classmates. I can also help the teachers. I can be a bridge between the teachers and the class. Choose me for class monitor and we can make our class better.

1. I would like to be the class monitor. 我想当班长。
“would like 希望;想要”,would like 与 want 意义相近,但比 want 语气更委婉、更正式。would like可与任何人称连用,没有人称和数的变化;与人称代词连用时,would 可缩写为“d”。
e.g. I’d like a glass of orange juice.我想来杯橙汁。
Tom would like to cook a meal for his mother on her birthday.
汤姆想在他母亲生日那天为她做一顿饭。
I’d like you to be more careful when you drive.
我希望你开车时能更加小心。
would like sth.喜欢/想要某物

2. In primary school, I was a good class monitor and got lots of experience.
在小学时,我是一名优秀的班长,积累了丰富的经验。
这里的experience意思是“经验”,当experience作“经验”时,是不可数名词,但当experience作“经历”时,是可数名词;experience还可以作动词“经历”。
e.g. Miss Gao has over ten years' teaching experience.

4. I try to be friends with all my classmates.

(1) try to do sth. 努力/设法做某事
try doing sth. 尝试/试图做某事
e.g. He tried to open the door, but failed.

(2) be/make friends with 和……做/交朋友

5. I can be a bridge between the teachers and the class.

“between... and... 在……和……之间”,用来连接两个并列的成分。其中between作介词,用于两者之间,也可用于三者或三者以上的两两之间。
e.g. There is a school between the hospital and the supermarket.

“among [介词]在……中”,通常用于三者或三者以上的人或物之间。
e.g. The song is very popular among the students.

6. Choose me for class monitor and we can make our class better.

(1) “choose /t u z/ v.选择;挑选;选取”

e.g. She chose a book for her sister's birthday present.

(2) “make sb./sth.+adj.使……处于某种状态”,此结构中的形容词作宾语补足语。
e.g. The news made us very happy.
这个消息让我们非常高兴。
The proper use of your spare time will make your life colorful.
合理利用空闲时间会使你的生活丰富多彩。
拓展:make+sb./sth.+n.让……成为……
e.g. We want to make Li Ming our monitor.
我们想让李明当班长。
7. In the first term of junior high school, I got good grades.
在初中的第一学期,我取得了好成绩。
(1) junior high school 初级中学,初中
senior high school 高级中学,高中
e.g. Junior high school days are over. I'll miss all of my teachers.

8. I get along well with everyone and I’m always ready to help others.

(2) be ready to do sth. 在此处意为“乐意做某事”,其同义短语为be willing to do sth.。还可意为“准备好做某事”,其同义短语为get ready to do sth.。be 强调状态, get 强调动作。
e.g. I’m ready/willing to answer your questions.
