2. 通过对短文的学习,培养学生的快速阅读能力。

1. 准备:
(1)Let’s learn more部分的录音。
(2)课件或小黑板准备下列句子:

(3)一个地球仪和一张世界地图。
(4)一些环保口号。

ⅰ. 课前问答
我们出示所准备的世界地图,和学生进行讨论。
T: Look. This is a map of the world. We live on it. What do the blue parts stand for
Ss: Blue parts stand for oceans and seas.
T: What do green parts stand for
Ss: Green parts stand for trees and grass.
T: Well. Our earth is beautiful, isn’t it
ⅱ. 新课导入
我们展示所准备的地球仪,引导学生观察,从而引出本节课话题:
T: Hello, boys and girls. Look at the earth. We live on the earth. It’s our home. It’s our mother earth. Where do we live Can you point it out

ⅰ. 新课展示 Part B Let’s learn more
1. 我们结合短文内容提出问题,然后播放录音,让学生带着问题听短文,了解短文大意。
Question 1: What bad things do we do to our earth
Question 2: What should we do
2. 我们再次播放录音,播放完毕后,随机选出几位学生回答上面的两个问题,检测他们对短文的理解情况。
Answer 1: We cut down too many trees. We waste too much water and make the air dirty.
Answer 2: We should care for our earth. We should do something to make the water and the air clean. We should plant more trees and help the animals.
ⅱ. 阅读理解
1. 让学生读短文的第一、二段,然后用课件或小黑板展示下列句子,让学生根据阅读的内容补全下列句子:
(1)There are __________ trees, flowers, rivers and __________ on the earth.
(2)We cut down __________ __________ trees.
(3)We waste __________ __________ water and make the air __________.

2. 我们让学生勾画出各自在阅读课文时遇到的不熟悉的词语,先请同学们根据语境猜猜这些词语的意思,之后我们解疑答惑,讲解短语care for, do bad things to。
(1)care for关心、爱护;如:
Alice has a white rabbit and she cares for it.
(2)do bad things to对……做坏事,损坏……;如:
We are friends. We shouldn’t do bad things to each other.
我们鼓励学生试着用care for, do bad things to说话,或我们给出汉语让学生说出英语:
1. 爸爸妈妈都很爱护我。
My father and mother care for me very much.
2. 我们要爱护这些小树木。
We should care for the small trees.
3. 人们不应该做损害我们地球的事情。
People shouldn’t do bad things to our earth.
(3)让学生以组为单位讨论many, too many, much, too much的用法,最后由我们进行汇总概括。
ⅲ. 巩固活动
1. 我们播放录音,学生集体跟读课文,我们注意纠正学生的发音问题。
2. 学生通读短文,完成Read again and tick or cross部分的练习。

ⅰ. Part B Look, group, write and say
1. 我们引导学生认真观察图片,想一想图中的花、草、人、船等物品应该用much和many哪个词修饰,并进行分类。
参考答案:much: grass, water
many: trees, flowers, boys, girls, boats, ice-creams
2. 我们随机点选学生用There is much ... 和There are many ... 造句。如:
There is much water in the lake.
There are many boats on the lake.
ⅱ. Part B Think and draw
1. 我们让学生看着左边的图片,解释设计意图。
2. 我们请学生发挥想象,设计一幅有关环境保护的海报。
我们将学生分成若干组,给每组发一些环保语句,让学生用彩笔将这些语句写在彩纸上,下课后贴在教室的墙上或是校园的宣传栏中。以下环保口号仅供参考:
1. Save water. 节约用水。
2. Turn off the lights before you leave. 离开前请关灯。
3. Low Carbon Life. 低碳生活。
4. Don’t walk on the grass. 不要践踏草坪。
5. Don’t waste food. 不要浪费粮食。
