专题四 短文填空
短文填空是综合能力测试题,它不仅检验学生能否把所学的各项基础知识用于实践,而且也考查学生的观察能力、阅读理解能力及逻辑思维能力。从历年省考真题来看,该题型所涉及话题与学习和生活息息相关。备考时重点关注的话题有:兴趣爱好、旅游观光、中外文化、历史与文化传承、健康生活等。
从历年省考真题来看,短文填空具有以下特点:
1.所选材料篇幅不长,总词数基本在180~220之间;
2.每年考查的考点比较固定,主要考查动词、名词、形容词、副词、代词、介词、连词。其中,代词和介词每年基本固定各考查1题,冠词在近4年中未考查过,数词、宾语从句和状语从句的考查也比较常见。
3.从2023年开始,本题开始给考生提供12个单词,让其选择,并用所给单词的适当形式填空,从而有力地降低了本题的难度。
1.结合所给单词,迅速浏览全文,明确本题的主旨大意
只有在了解主题的前提下才能对空格有的放矢地选填恰当的词。本大题考查的是学生的综合能力,因此在解题遇到困难的时候,不要仅仅盯着某一空,还要继续往下读,这样可以更好地理解全文。有时后面的信息往往有助于对前面细节的理解,从而有利于对主题思想的领悟。
2.盯着“目标”,注意细节
在“读”故事时,还要注意故事发生的时间、地点及天气等。比较常见的是表示时间的名词如星期、月份、季节等,描写天气的有关形容词、 描写人的喜怒哀乐(happy, sad, laugh, cry)和描写人的外表(tall, short, fat, thin, young, old)及人的动作等词语。当确定所要填入的词时,要确定其用法和写法,同时要考虑时态、语态、词性及习惯用法等,填入句中的词必须完整正确。
3.先易后难,多方位考虑
个别空格填不出时,也可以先放下继续做下面的题。在做完较容易的题目之后,再集中精力思考比较难的题和所剩下未被选用的单词。有的难题可能只知其意而不会写,这时要从多方位考虑。英语中一意多词的情况比较多,只要考生能根据词义填入合适的词即可。因此在明确空格词义后,重点考虑尚未选用的单词,找出最好的和最有把握的词填进去,这样难度就大大地降低了。
4.复读全文,复查核定
复查所填的句子意思是否正确、结构是否完整、上下文是否连贯、语法是否正确,以及拼写是否准确。对有不清楚的地方一定要仔细斟酌,尽力做到准确无误。
