Here is a book that is easy to read, but it is on a big subject. The Book is named Animal Farm(1945). It is by the English writer George Orwell. It is a story about farm animals. They are fed up with(受够了) the farmer, Mr. Jones. He treats them badly, so they decide to manage the farm themselves.
Animal Farm is an excellent book for learners of English because it’s very short. The language is also simple. But remember, the book may seem simple, but it is very serious about the present world. George Orwell called his book a fairy tale(童话). But not all fairy tales are simple and innocent(单纯的). This one isn’t either. The book is really about Russia under Stalin(斯大林), who Orwell disagreed with.
