Ally and I first met at a local riding club, where we were both eager beginners, learning the basics of horseback riding. One evening after that argument, as I was helping my parents close up the store, my phone rang. It was Ally. I picked up the phone, my heart still heavy from our earlier disagreement.
“Hey,”she began, her voice full of hope. "I was thinking we could try that technique again. I feel like I'm ready now."
I shook my head even though she couldn't see me. "I don't think that's a good idea," I replied, my tone firm.
She paused, and I could almost hear her disappointment. “Okay," she said softly. "I'll see you then.”注意：
