主要用于引出不利用于主句情况的信息,相
当于汉语的“尽管”“虽然”。如:
He went out even though it was raining.

虽然工作艰苦,我还是很喜欢。4. Let’s fetch something to eat.
我们去拿点东西吃吧。 fetch 作动词,意为“(去)拿来”。如:
Dad asked me to fetch him an evening paper.
爸爸叫我去给他拿份晚报。

你能把它拿出来给我看看吗?[辨析]fetch, take, bring 与 carry 这四个词都是动词,都含有“带”或“拿”的意思,但使用场合各不相同。
1) bring作“带来”、“拿来”解; take是bring的
对语,作“带去”、“拿去”解。例:
Why don‘t you bring your girl friend to the party?

很多,可以用车、船,也可以用手甚至用头;fetch则表示“去拿来”(go and bring)的意思。如:

He's just gone out to fetch some water. 现将bring, carry, take和fetch用在一个句中,以便区别:

注意: bring之后可以接不定式和动名词,如:
You will never bring me to admit it.
或 You will never bring me to admitting it.
在这种场合下,英美人用不定式的居多。bring在这两句中表示 cause someone to do something之意(使某人做某事)。 选用bring,fetch,take,carry填空。

what 和 连接副词 where, how, why, when
引导的宾语从句由从属连词 whether, if 引导的宾语从句Grammar 宾语从句中引导次的选择。宾语从句的引导词包括that , weather, if 和疑问
词。其中that, weather环绕if 在从句中不作任
何成分。如下面例句(1), (2)中的that, weather
和if; 而疑问词在从句中做成分。如例(3)引导
词作从句的状语。
(1). I heard (that) he has passed the exam.
我听说他通过了考试。(2). I wonder weather/if he has passed the exam.
我想知道他通过了考试没有。
(3). I asked when he passed the exam.
我问她何时通过了考试。宾语从句中的引导词that只起连接作用,在从
句中行不作句子成分,也没有词汇意义,在口
语中常被省略,如例(1)中的that.在疑问词引导的从句中, 应根据句子的意思选
择疑问词。(4). She asked me when he came back home
every morning. 她问我他每晚什么时候回家
(5). Can you tell ne how he got back home?

(6). I don’t know why he came back home.
我不知道他为什么回家了。以上三个句子的从句都在表述同一事件—“他
回家”,但根据句子的寓意选择了不同的引导
词。2. 宾语从句的时态。一般情况下,如果主句谓语动词的时态为现在
或将来时,宾语从句中的谓语动词可以根据句
意的需要使用任何时态;如果主句的谓语为过
去时态,宾语从句中的谓语动词使用相应的时
态。
例如:
I don’t know where we will go for holiday.
我不知道我们要去哪儿度假。He asked where we should go for holiday.
他问我们要去哪儿度假。
I always think they’re for people whose English
is quite good.

我不知道什么时候能知道测试结果。 如果从句用于修饰主句的名词(主语、宾语或表语),则其句子成分为定语,叫做定语从句。
定语从句所修饰的词,叫做先行词,定语从句放在先行词的后面。
引导定语从句的词,叫关系词。关系词放在先行词和定语从句之间,起连接作用,同时又是定语从句的一个成分。定语从句 指代人时,定语从句可以由关系代词who,
whom, whose引导;
指代物时,可以由关系代词which, that 引导
指代人和物时,由 that 引导;
