七、写作实践
Dear Cindy,
I'm very glad to know that you're coming to China next week. Now I'll tell you something about Chinese manners.
When we meet people for the first time in China, we are supposed to shake hands. After that, we usually greet each other with a smile and some small talk like asking about the weather or how things are going. But we don't ask about personal information like age or salary.
As for table manners, we use chopsticks to eat. It's impolite to point at others with chopsticks or stick them into the food. We should wait until all the people are seated before we start to eat. And we'd better not talk with our mouths full.
I hope you'll have a great time in China and get used to our manners soon.
Best wishes!
Yours,
Li Hua
