Once upon a time, there was a small village. The people there were very poor but they were very kind and helpful. One day, a little girl named Lily found that her neighbor, an old woman, was very sick. The old woman had no one to take care of her. Lily decided to do something to help. She went to the forest near the village every day to pick some wild fruits and herbs. She used these to make soup for the old woman. Day by day, the old woman got better.
The other villagers saw what Lily did and they were all touched. They started to think about how they could help each other more. One man, who was good at repairing things, decided to offer his service for free to fix broken tools and furniture for everyone. A woman who could sew well began to make clothes for the poor children in the village.
Slowly, the village became a better place. People were happier and they all knew that it was because of everyone's kindness and willingness to help.
