单元主题及主要内容分析
单元主题:本单元教材以“为别人提供帮助”为中心话题,联系学生的实际,围绕着“志愿者公益服务活动和帮助他人”进行学习,注重培养学生乐于助人,热心公益事业,关爱社会和他人和乐于助人的优秀品质。对应新课标的主题语境是人与自我主题中的第6条优秀品行、正确的生活态度、公民义务与社会责任以及人与社会主题中的第二条公益事业和志愿服务。Section A部分的听说课,注重学生对基础语言的理解和掌握,使学生懂得助人为乐不仅能在帮助他人解决问题时提升自己的处事能力,还能使自己和他人感受到互帮互助的愉悦。为后面Section B部分的写作打下基础。在Section B听说和阅读的基础上,要求学生结合三月份学习雷锋月,倡导学生积极践行学习雷锋“助人为乐”的品质和精神,要求学生使用本单元中心句型“I’ll help to…/ I could help.../I want to help…”来表达自己的“助人为乐”计划,做到学以致用。使学生通过表达志愿服务活动,进一步培养学生助人为乐的优秀品质,同时也践行了社会主义核心价值观中的友善。学生的创新素养能力在学习雷锋故事演讲和敬老院慰问关爱老人志愿活动中得到充分发展。学生通过这些活动,拥有了慈善和感恩助人的优秀品质,并且能在以后的日常生活中坚持学雷锋和热衷公益事业。 主要内容分析: 第一课时Section A 1a-2d听说练习环节,播放一段初三学生慰问敬老院爱心活动为导入,引出单元主题”offer help”。在知识呈现环节,小组分组竞赛,看图说短语,学习并掌握重点词汇,为听力和1c的对话练习做好铺垫。本课时注重要求学生掌握由目标语言所表达的四种公益活动和考察学生的口语表达和听说模仿能力,使学生认识到身边很多人都在学习雷锋,自己也可以做公益,为社会做贡献。 第二课时Section A3a-3c阅读环节,以播放介绍雷锋同志的短片引入,激发学生的学习兴趣。使学生在了解雷锋精神的基础上,能激发学生向雷锋同志学习的积极性。阅读介绍了两位美国学生周末的志愿活动和学生们自己对于公益事业的看法。完成阅读后,使我们自己的学生能够认识到献身公益事业的好处,以及促使他们积极投身于社会公益事业,为社会贡献自己的一份力量,尽自己的一份社会责任。 第三课时Grammar focus4a-1e语法环节,要求学生掌握重点短语和句子,并用目标语言练习表达志愿服务和助人为乐事迹。在语法填空练习环节,特意选取中华优秀传统美德故事《司马光砸缸》和《张良拾履》,使学生在练习中,巩固一般过去时和动词不定式用法的同时,进一步感受中华优秀传统美德故事的魅力。激发学生向伟大的历史人物学习尊老爱幼和助人为乐的高贵品质的动力,也为下一课的写作练习奠定语法基础,使学生做到学以致用。 第四课时Section B 2a-2e导入环节,播放导盲犬短视频,学生在观看视频之后,对动物助手中心和导盲犬在盲人的日常生活中的重要性有了初步了解。在学习新单词和短语之后,以思维导图的形式呈现速读和跳读任务,训练学生获取主旨大意和关键词的阅读技巧和能力。在完成思维导图任务后,呈现一篇任务型阅读练习题。要求学生在理解本文的基础上,填写恰当的词语补全句子。该练习注重考察学生对阅读中重点词汇和短语的掌握情况,有助于学生更好地理解盲人作者在接收到他人的帮助后的感激之心和想要回馈社会帮助他人的仁爱精神。 第五课时Section B 3a-self check导入环节,设置了free talk活动,要求学生讨论自己以往参与过的公益和志愿者活动内容、过程以及收获。之后再以作文大纲的形式呈现“敬老院志愿服务”作文主体结构,罗列重点短语和参考句型。帮助学生分析说明文的写作的六要素,并结合本单元的时态和志愿爱心服务主题,逐步完善作文的内容。学生四人一个小组,共同讨论活动细节并修改作文中的错误。在接下来的展示环节,挑选部分优秀的作文和存在共性错误的问题作文,展示并分析这些作文的优点和缺点,是学生进一步掌握该主题作文的写作技巧。最后呈现一篇优秀范文供学生赏析,要求学生朗诵范文并找出该范文的好词佳句共自己学习。在写作的练习中,逐步升华本单元的“帮助他人,投身公益事业”的话题,使学生深刻认识到自己投身公益事业,奉献社会的重大意义。
主题学情分析
每年三月份的学雷锋主题月,学校都会组织学生积极参加社会公益和志愿者爱心活动。去年三月学校组织共青团员清明节去固原任山河烈士陵园扫墓,对学生进行了爱国主义教育;去年重阳节,学校组织八年级志愿者前往学校对面的残疾人康复中心进行慰问和献爱心活动;今年五四青年节后,学校政教处又组织部分寄宿生对学校周边的景观水道进行卫生清洁公益活动。由于大部分都参与过以上的爱心志愿服务,因此,在本单元的口语表达和写作练习环节,学生均能表达自己的志愿活动。八年级上册学习过一般将来时,因此在口语表达和写作环节,大部分学生能使用一般将来时写作。
开放性学习环境
1、学校对面有一家残疾人康复中心。2、学校周边有景观水道和体育场等公共场合。 3、学校位于六盘山革命老区

It’s our duty to help others when possible. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 教学目标与核心素养的关系说明: 学习了本单元之后,大多数学生的为人处世习惯有了很大改变。他们在生活和学习过程中更愿意积极帮助他人解决困难,通过助人为乐,他们变得更乐观也更自信。学生经过了清明节到任山河烈士陵园扫墓,认识到如今的幸福生活来之不易,也更加珍惜当前的学习生活。再到残疾人康复中心关爱老人,学生也认识到自己能给他们带来快乐和爱心。以及参加了由学校组织的志愿者爱心服务活动,大多数学生能深刻认识到投身公益和志愿服务社会的公民职责。为了更好地践行社会主义核心价值观中的友善,在阅读的导入环节,选取雷锋同志的短片介绍,使学生进一步认识到学习雷锋精神的重要性。在课后练习环节特意选取了两篇学生比较熟悉又感兴趣的中华传统美德故事《张良拾履》和《司马光砸缸》,使学生知道伟大的人物都有助人为乐和尊老爱幼的高尚品德,是值得我们学习的榜样。

持续性评价的手段与方式
在第一课时头脑风暴活动中,采取任务型性教学,学生分四组采取竞争和合作的学习方式。要求每组学生例举出乐于助人的古今人物代表,根据学生的答题情况,给每组学生分数进行鼓励。在free talk环节,鼓励学生说出想要参加的公益活动,并正确使用目标语言I want to /I will help to和 I will volunteer to 等。根据学生的表述情况,给予他们所在小组不同的分数。在配音秀的环节,选择获胜的小组成员上台进行英文配音秀表演,奖励他们表演机会的同时,进一步提升他们的自信心和创新思维。在听力后的Group work环节,设置的活动是各小组根据抽取的公益主题,制作一张宣传公益活动的海报。画报精美,内容新颖的小组,将有资格参加由学校组织的“重走六盘山长征路”活动机会。 在第二课时导入环节,播放疫情期间的最美志愿者短片。要求学生在小组合作中,讨论出最美志愿者的身上的高尚品质。表现最好的小组获得report的展示机会。学生在记者游戏活动中,进一步认识到志愿者们为了国家和人民所付出的艰辛和他们高尚的人格魅力。 在第三课时语法操练环节,挑选表现积极的学生参加趣味抽奖游戏。该游戏设置的活动有随机帮助一名学生解决一个问题、讲述一个助人为乐的故事、说出参加公益和志愿者活动的感受和收获以及幸运奖得到一个玩偶奖励等。 在第四课时阅读导入环节,播放导盲犬短视频引入。要求小组抢答导盲犬的能力,不仅能增加学习趣味,也锻炼了学生合作和竞争的能力。阅读课始终贯穿思维导图任务,要求学生通过跳读、略读和细读等阅读技巧,获取关键信息,训练学生的整理和归纳文本信息的思维能力。在该环节得分最高的小组将获得下节课讲经典美德故事的机会。 在第五课时的写作练习环节,以思维导图的形式复习与助人为乐有关的重点词汇、句型和谚语,为下面的写作训练奠定基础。在该环节表现突出的同学,将获得招聘志愿者评委的资格去面试他人。该奖励机制技能激励学生的学习动力,也能使学生体会到不同职业的趣味性。最后的展示环节,挑选优秀作文面批,拓展好词好句和谚语。使学生在学习知识的同时,体会到成功的快乐。
教学反思(实施后填写)
本单元的主题是“助人为乐和公益”。是学生比较熟悉又感兴趣的话题。因此在设置课堂活动时,我特意设置了许多学生感到新颖又好玩的游戏。既能激励学生,又能活跃课堂气氛。在第一课时听说课,我设置的课堂活动,侧重于训练学生听说能力。尤其是配音秀活动,学生参与的兴致很高,而且完成的情况也很好。在2b的听后活动,创新地设置了制作公益海报活动。大部分学生尤其喜欢小组合作绘画,该环节的展示把课堂推向了高潮。在第二课时的导入环节播放疫情期间最美的志愿者短视频,使学生深刻认识到志愿者们不求回报、舍己为人、甘愿奉献和助人为乐的高贵品质,他们使我们学习的榜样。该活动的设置也为后面的记者采访活动奠定了基础。在采访环节,大部分学生均能说出志愿公益活动的重要意义,并能激发学生参与学校组织的其他公益活动的积极性。在语法课练习环节为了加强德育教育,特选取两篇中华优秀传统美德故事《司马光砸缸》和《张良拾履》,要求学生结合所学知识,进一步体会古代人物的高尚品德和助人精神。激励学生向古人学习,积极帮助身边的弱小,发扬助人为乐的精神。在第五课时阅读导入环节,学生在观看完导盲犬视频后,也认识到了盲人生活的艰辛和导盲犬的重要作用。大部分学生课后在校园餐厅或教学楼走廊,看到残疾学生上下楼梯,他们也更热衷于上前帮忙,献出爱心。本单元的育人目标很明确,就是要求学生践行社会主义核心价值观中的友爱。通过助人为乐和公益活动来履行自己作为一位社会公民应尽的义务。因此在设置课堂活动时,可提前搜集一些以前的公益社团活动照片或公益事迹,既贴近学生的实际生活又能激发学生的学习兴趣和动力。再结合学校开展的其他公益活动,使学生在学习知识的同时,创新素养能力得到进一步发展。

本课时话题涉及公益活动与关爱他人。1a活动出示了一张今日志愿者公益宣传海报,并要求学生添加更多已知的公益活动,旨在呈现旧知识引出新知识。1b听力环节要求学生学习不同的社会援助方式的英语表述,为词汇输入阶段;1c-2d活动通过听、说练习此前所学的词汇表述,并在听说训练过程中体会动词不定式和短语动词的用法。
学情分析
学校历年的三月学习雷锋月都会组织学生进行公益活动或者志愿服务,旨在要求学生懂得感恩社会,回报社会和助人为乐。大部分学生均参与过类似的活动,比如义务植树、慰问敬老院和烈士陵园扫墓等公益活动。因此,本课时的1a部分对于学生来说难度不大,学生也比较感兴趣。2b小组活动设置制作公益海报,大部分学生的美术功底很好,也能在课前提前准备好画图材料。

导入环节通过播放雷锋介绍短片和疫情期间最美志愿者短片,激发了学生的学习兴趣,使学生直观地认识到志愿者在疫情中发挥的重大作用和贡献。并自然地过渡到呈现环节。学习了重点词汇和目标语言后,学生在听力环节均能较好地完成任务。为pair work环节做好了铺垫。学生在口语练习中进一步巩目标语言;同时也为DIY公益海报活动提供了支持。学生在小组活动成果的展示中突破了本课的重难点。本节课的活动设计环环相扣,层层递进。学生从目标知识的学习顺利地过渡到美德教育渗透,激发了学生学习雷锋和最美志愿者的愿望。不足之处是小结环节比较仓促,没有拓展更多与公益和助人为乐有关的目标语言和词汇。课后帮助学生总结常见公益活动词汇和公益相关的英文短文,拓展学生的阅读面。

学情分析
学生身边或者家庭里有残疾人,因此大部分学生能很好地理解残疾人生活的艰辛。残疾人在日常生活中面临的困难和不便急需社会上的每个人或者公益组织进行救援服务。结合本课残疾人公益组织送给了一位双目失明的残疾人一条导盲犬,从此改变了残疾人的生活方式。是残疾人感受到来自国家和社会的关爱。使更多的残疾人重拾生活的信心。大部分学生在日常生活在也帮助过身边的残疾人。比如帮助残疾人过马路,去残疾人康复中心慰问残疾老人等等。因此学生能体会到帮助残疾人的快乐和必要性。本节课所有的活动设置,旨在要求学生懂得感恩社会,回报社会和助人为乐。

三月份是学习雷锋月,为倡导学生积极践行学习雷锋“助人为乐”的品质和精神,本课时作业要求学生使用本单元中心句型“I’ll help to…/ I could help.../I want to help…”来表达本周末自己的“助人为乐”计划。使学生通过表达志愿服务活动,培养学生助人为乐的优秀品质。本课时新的词汇和短语较少,之前学生已经学习并掌握了一般将来时和情态动词will,can和could的用法,因此,根据学情的不同,采取分层作业布置的方案,作业类型分口头作业和书面作业。学生通过完成不同层次的作业任务和练习,进一步巩固和掌握重点短语和动词不定的用法。

由于学情的差异性,本课时的作业布置采取分层设计作业。针对三个层次的学生群体布置了不同的作业任务,这也是一种适合本班当前实际情况的教学模式。不同难度的作业任务,也能为每一个学生创造学习和进步的机会。根据所授内容及不同层次学生的特点,有的放矢地分层来设计布置作业,使每个学生都能提高说的能力和综合语言的运用能力。分层练习,有助于教师正确把握学生的学习情况,有助于提升课堂教学质量。
A层学生的作业任务,注重考查学生语言知识和语言技能的输出,为培养学生的创造性思维服务,使学生达成用运所学知识,解决实际生活中的问题的目的。
B层学生的作业任务,旨在考查学生对基础知识掌握的程度和语言知识理解应用的能力的培养。通过对本课的重点词语和短语的练习以及听力的模仿朗读和复述,不断提升学生的听力和口语表达能力,为下一课时的任务开展奠定基础。
C层学生的作业任务,注重要求学生对本课重点的单词和短语进行识读和背诵。学生通过完成较简单的作业任务,不仅增强他们学习英语的自信心,也能使学生逐步提升学习英语的兴趣。

本单元的主题是“助人为乐”,帮助他人。“仁爱之心,助人为乐”是中华民族的传统美德,有深厚的历史文化底蕴,雷锋精神也是代代相传。通过本节阅读课的学习,使学生认识到了作为一名社会主义建设者和接班人,必须具有“助人为乐”的雷锋精神并且在生活中能够身体力行去帮助他人的优秀品质。
