"Who loves pizza " is a question you almost never have to an American. A better question might be "Who doesn't love pizza " Now, there's a place for all pizza lovers to gather: the Museum of Pizza. It can be found in America's pizza capital—New York City.
A company called Nameless Network came up with the idea for the museum, known as "MoPi" for short. "It's often that the simplest ideas are the best. The company used the popularity of pizza as a way to get people "looking at art and hearing about history in a different way," said Alexandra Serio, who is with Nameless Network. Many kinds of artists were asked to create art works about pizza. They, in turn, provided large photographs, sculptures and huge installations. So far, the museum has had lots of visitors. More than 6,000 people came through the door when it opened this month.
Visitors seem to love MoPi's bright colors, which makes it perfect for taking selfies and other photographs for social media.
Nene Raye, from New Jersey, was a recent visitor. Raye didn't expect to see what she saw—and she was happy about that. "Honestly, I thought it would be, like, more of a traditional museum," She said. But instead, Raye got some of everything. "So You get a little bit of education and then some fun, which I love," she said.
Lydia Melendez made plans to visit the pizza museum in April. For her, the experience was worth the wait. "I thought it was going to be kind of boring," she said. She had imagined walking in and finding books on how to make pizza. But she was very pleased when her actual experience was different than what she had imagined.
While pizza may be what has captured the interest of crowds, the point of the Museum has been to help people exposed to fine arts world.

Hadedas are one of the most familiar species of birds across sub-Saharan Africa. They are known for their loud, laughing calls, which often ring out early in the morning, winning them the title of"African alarm clocks". My recently published PhD research shows that they have the"sixth sense" of remote touch(远程触觉).
We presented the birds with plates filled with soil, in which we placed several worms (虫子). To test whether hadedas were able to use remote touch, we gave them either living worms or dead worms, and made sure they weren't using hearing or smell to find the worms. The birds were able to find the moving worms quite faster than the dead ones, showing that they were able to sense vibrations(振动), and use them to find worms in the absence of any other sensory information.
When they were using remote touch, the birds found the worms faster in wetter soils. However, if the soil was in the opposite conditions, hadedas lost their ability to sense living worms faster than dead ones. Instead, they had to hunt by chance. In the wild, this would mean taking twice as long to find the same number of worms, or ending the day with less than half of the worms when they could use remote touch.
Early studies have shown that hadedas are spreading to more places that have more farms and bigger neighborhoods. Our research further suggests that one of the driving factors is that they need soil with enough water to be able to seek food. Their dependence on wet soil could have big effects on their population in periods of long dry seasons. However, in sub-Saharan Africa, droughts and heat waves are becoming increasingly common and last longer as a result of warming weather. Thus, even common garden birds like hadedas would have a tough time in years to come.
Our results therefore suggest that it's important to consider birds' sensory requirements from their environments, particularly for levels of water in the areas where they hunt. Though calls like those of the hadedas may be troublesome at times, we hope that we won't oversleep and miss this particular alarm call from nature.
12.What enables hadedas to figure out the worms' presence
A.Their sharp hearing. B.The use of unique calls.
C.The ability to catch smells. D.Their sense of movement.
13.What is mentioned about hadedas' remote touch
A.It works poorly in dry soils.
B.It helps them avoid risky areas.
C.It is more effective in the wild.
D.It requires teamwork among hadedas.
14.What does the author mainly imply about hadedas in paragraph 4
A.Climate change harms their survival.
B.They slowly adapt to extreme weather.
C.Wet soil will remain plentiful for them.
D.They have to change diet in the near future.
15.What does the author expect the results to raise awareness about
A.Changing present farming methods.
B.Safeguarding birds' living conditions.
C.Applying unique calls in bird training.
D.Reducing noise pollution from humans.

There was a strong desire inside me that I was eager to have my own snow as a special gift on my birthday. To my great disappointment, the snow disappeared before my birthday and started after it. I was completely mad. I just hungered for my birthday snow. I asked my beloved grandmother why it didn't snow on my birthday over and over again. She laughed, telling me I had asked the same question for too many times. At the same time she promised that she would make it snow when I was enjoying life to the fullest and we agreed to keep it our secret. When I begged her for my next birthday snow with eagerness, she just patted me on the shoulder gently, not giving a definite reply.
That cold winter, before my birthday, my grandmother died. I was deeply sad, but a bit angry because she had promised me to make it snow. The day of my tenth birthday, I wok e up and ran to my window, hoping to see just one snowflake. No luck. I cried and cried, thinking about my grandmother and the dream promise. There were still friends, gifts and a big dinner; there was still no snow. What's worse, there was no my beloved grandmother.
I would pray for my birthday snow in the following years, but it never came. Never!

15.细节理解题。根据最后一段"Our results therefore suggest that it's important to consider birds' sensory requirements from their environments, particularly for levels of water in the areas where they hunt. Though calls like those of the hadedas may be troublesome at times, we hope that we won't oversleep and miss this particular alarm call from nature."

Dear Kate,
I am Li Hua, a freshman in our school. I was really happy and excited when I first entered senior high school, but recently I find it quite hard to concentrate on my study. So I'm writing to ask you for help.
I'm encountering some problems which trouble me a lot. First, I have to spend so much time on my homework that I hardly have time to do exercise. Moreover, the high expectations from the teachers and my parents make me extremely stressed because I don't want to let them down. What troubles me most is that it's difficult for me to fall asleep every night.
Faced with the above problems, I'm anxious to get your help. Could you please offer me some advice on how to solve these problems
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua

47.I was outside with a friend when she asked me if I was having a good time.I told her I was having the best time ever! I was enjoying life to the fullest. Then I saw the white snow falling all around. I behaved like a little child on Christmas morning as I ran around screaming and laughing. She asked me if I had ever seen snow before. I laughed, saying I had. However, it was a special snow, my snow. She laughed at my childish action, but I didn't care.
When I got home, my mother told me there was a surprise for me.I wondered what it was. She gave me a small white box that had snowflake wrapping on it. I asked her what it was and she told me to stop asking so many questions and just open it. I did. Surprisingly, it was a handwritten letter from my beloved grandmother. Mum told me that it was my grandmother's final wish to give me this on my "sweet sixteenth". I cried and hugged my mum, although she didn't understand. I said a silent prayer to my smiling grandmother, who I was certain was, and always had been, watching over me.
