一、五种衔接首句的方法
1.延续首句主语,复现首句关键词
As the twins looked around them in disappointment, their father appeared. “Don’t panic!” he handed each one a wet towel, helping them clean the mess quickly. After that, Jeff stammered out their plan, his face flushing. However, Father laughed, “Sounds great! I can teach you to cook.” At this, Jenna and Jef almost jumped to their feet, joy in eyes. Under his careful guidance, it didn’t take long before the French toast and chicken porridge were ready. Everything settled, Father left the kitchen, promising to keep their secret.(2021年6月新高考Ⅰ卷)

It’s the biggest surprise I have received.” Her face lit up with happiness. “They have known how to take care of others.” Father said in response to her excitement, winking at Jenna and Jef. They were almost like bees, coming one by one, never stopping! My smile froze gradually as one after another worn-out clothes were coming and pouring—now I was too busy to see their faces!Mixing the salad dressing and assigning one by one, I was almost like a cat on hot bricks, my hands racing. Fortunately, the helpful lady came to assist me, who took some loads off my shoulder. With her assistance, I finished my serving time smoothly.(2022年6月浙江卷)

And an unexpected shower added to the difficulty of us in finding a way home, for all the tracks we had made disappeared because of the rain. I was almost on the edge of breaking down when my father said, “Don’t worry, my son. I remember there is a river near the farm house. Find the river and we will be back home.” Finally, we found the river and got back to the house along it. Needless to say, we ate a late dinner.(2018年6月浙江)
