意为“你(们)为什么不做……呢 ”用于提出建议。该句型还可以简化为“Why not do... ”。其肯定回答常用“That's a good idea.”“That sounds great.”“OK.”“Good.”“Sure.”等;否定回答常用“I'm afraid not…”“Sorry,but…”等。
知识点三 so that
意为“以便;为了”,引导目的状语从句,可与in order (not) to 替换。

意为“以便;为了”,引导目的状语从句,一般放在主句后:目的状语从句常含有情态动词can,could,should等。

注意:当主句和从句的主语一致时,可用in order to或动词不定式短语替换,意义不变。

意为“尽管;虽然”,与thougl同义,引导让步状语从句,既可以放在主句前面,也可放在主句后面。
状语从句
although
注意:although 引导的从句不能和并列连词but连用。

We waited until it was dark yesterday.昨天我们一直等到天黑。
引导时间状语从句,意为“直到…为止”,当主句是肯定句时,句中谓语动词必须是延续性动词,如work,live,
study,play,wait等。
not…until.…意为“直到…才…”,主句的谓语动词是非延续性动词,它所表示的动作直到until所表示的

时间才发生。
