Dear Mike,
I’m happy to hear that you’re going to China next week. In China, people wave to say hello or goodbye.Nodding heads means “Yes”.Children and young people bow to say thanks to their parents or teachers. If girls know each other well, they will hug and they sometimes walk arm in arm.But boys don’t usually do that.We Chinese also shake hands with people when we meet each other for the first time.
Hope you can have a good time in China.
Yours,
Chen Shi
