A molten iron fireworks performance (Datiehua) at the town of Situ in Jincheng city, Shanxi province, set a
Guinness World Record in 2024 thanks to the teamwork of 108 performers, making it the largest molten iron
fireworks show in the world.
Tiehua is a kind of special fireworks that is popular in the folk traditions of Henan and Shanxi provinces.
This difficult art has been passed down for over a thousand years. The iron fireworks is a folk art that creates a
great breathtaking scene.
At the beginning of the performance, the performers put iron pieces into the furnace (a closed place where a
very hot fire is made to burn metal). The molten iron used should reach the temperature of1,600℃to 1,700℃. If

spoon with a long handle (手柄), a performer throws the molten iron into the sky. The red-hot molten iron blows
