修饰动词、形容词、副词的句子成分叫作状语。状语在语法上并不是必不可少的,但在意义上却很重要,因为它说明地点、时间、原因、目的、结果、方式、伴随、方向、程度,对句子做更细致的描述。
什么是状语
1.He swiftly rushed to the entrance to the building.
2.You must leave your house right away.
3. Mr. Wang is reading the newspaper in the living room.

过去分词作状语(修饰动词)时, 与主语之间存在着动宾关系。过去分词作状语可表时间、原因、条件、方式、伴随、让步等情况。多数情况下,分词的逻辑主语和句子的主语是同一人或同一物。过去分词在句中表被动、表完成。
从山顶上看, 这个城市像一个大花园。
