语法精讲
形容词和副词的比较级和最高级
1.比较级的用法
(1)“形容词的比较级+than+比较对象”。前后相比较的两个事物一定要属于同类,而且做比较时,一定要避免自身与自身相比。
例:Mary, your brother is taller than before.玛丽,你哥哥比以前高了。
(2)“比较级+than any other+单数名词”表示“(一定范围内)……比任何人(事、物)都……”。
例:He is taller than any other student in his class.他比班上任何一个学生都高。
(3)“as...as...”意为“与……一样……”,其否定形式为“not so/as...as...”,意为“……不及/不如……”。它们也是一种表达比较的形式,注意 as与 as之间要用形容词或副词的原级。
Why can’t you do your homework as carefully as your brother?为什么你不能像你哥哥一样认真地写作业呢?

(4)“the+比较级...,the+比较级...”表示“越……越……”。

【注意】当比较级后有“of the two...”之类的短语时,比较级前要加定冠词the。
(6)在选择疑问句中,常用句型:Which/When/Who+be+形容词比较级,A or B?
2.最高级的用法
(1)“主语+be+the+形容词最高级+in/of+范围”表示“在某范围内……最……”。
(2)“one of the+形容词最高级+可数名词复数”表示“最……的……之一”。
(3)“the+序数词(除了first)+形容词最高级+可数名词单数”表示“第几(大、长等)……”。
例:The Yellow River is the second longest river in China.黄河是中国的第二长河。
(4)在选择疑问句中,常用句型:Which/Who+be+the+形容词最高级,A,B or C?
【注意】①形容词最高级前通常要加定冠词the。但前面若有物主代词、指示代词或名词所有格等修饰时,不能用定冠词 the。②形容词最高级常与介词in或of引导的短语连用,与in连用意为“在……内”,表示 “在某范围内”,不一定是同类;与of连用表示属性,of后的名词或代词与句中的主语是同一类人或物,意为“在某一类中”。
3.可修饰比较级的前置词
当表示一方超过一方的“程度”时,可以用much, a lot, a little, a bit, even, far等来修饰形容词或副词的比较级。
例:This year I have ten subjects.I decide to work much harder.今年我有十门课。我决定更加努力地学习。

形容词和副词的比较级和最高级
1.比较级的用法
(1)“形容词的比较级+than+比较对象”。前后相比较的两个事物一定要属于同类,而且做比较时,一定要避免自身与自身相比。
例:Mary, your brother is taller than before.玛丽,你哥哥比以前高了。
(2)“比较级+than any other+单数名词”表示“(一定范围内)……比任何人(事、物)都……”。
例:He is taller than any other student in his class.他比班上任何一个学生都高。
